  1. As I get ready to upgrade some electronics I thought I'd let everyone know about the awesome rebate offer Garmin has going right now. $200 off GPSMAP and Echomap units through March 31st. That's a pretty killer deal. http://garmin.blogs.com/promotions/2017/02/panoptix-chartplotter-combo-rebate.html#.WLSE2FUrJEY With that being said, I have a Lowrance Elite 7 HDI w/ TM 'ducer for sale. EDIT** only valid when purchased with a Panoptix transducer.
  2. LS was decent. Good numbers on a jerkbait. Wouldn't touch anything else, especially nothing on the bottom. Had a customer from the UK on board and he took to fishing a 110 like a champ for someone who's never fished a jerkbait, or fished for/caught a Bass. (Not a chance I was having him fish the Ned). Wind sucked there too but was able to dip out of it nicely.
  3. FWIW, not that it comes as any surprise to anyone, but my buddy did confirm the two 10s that were caught at LaCygne didn't make it back into the lake. Pics were taken at the marina and those fish went home in bags, and one was caught on a limb line. Go figure. Good job Kansas!
  4. Surely nobody will be seeing anybody at the Wolf this weekend but I invite all lurkers to drive out and see what happens.
  5. As Ned would say, "a small northeast Kansas impoundment." Out of the wind. BR undisclosed location.
  6. Hey Adam, You know better.
  7. I almost think that the info comes from the campground hosts or something, who get that info from guys just BSing. Hell they could even be talking about Wipers and not even know it. Guess we'll never know!
  8. March is gonna be the time this year for big females, as it was last year. But like you said, the spring KS winds are gonna be a huge factor in that like last year. My guiding days are fairly limited between March/April due to tournaments, so I plan to hit it pretty hard, clients or no clients. From the KC Star. Like Clayton said I'd like to see some pictures of the "10s". Biggest I've seen this year has been 8.8 a few weeks ago in a tournament. If there were any 10s caught, they surely went home in a bucket and no one ever saw them. I feel like the bass fishing scene here is too interconnected for someone to be keeping their "10 lbers" a secret with no publicized pictures on Facebook or anything. Especially considering pretty much everyone knows that lake is capable of it and it's no Lake X honeyhole. Kind of like @RangerDanger going to Falcon and catching "more 5-6 lbers than you can imagine," but not taking any pictures of them because "taking pictures of 5-6 lbers on Falcon isn't cool." Just my thoughts.
  9. And yet, nothing has changed. Lol.
  10. I feel like the last 8-10 comments on this thread should just about uncover any info you'd ever need about LaCygne...................
  11. Had some fun guys out on Saturday. Ended up being one of two boats out until probably 10:30-11. Turned out to be a beautiful day and caught some good fish. Surprisingly the moving bait bite was consistent even when the wind died down and the sun was high. I couldn't buy a fish on a tube or swinghead but those guys were catching fish all day on a Wobbler or swimbait. Had fun with some nice Wipers too.
  12. Sounds like LaCygne to me. This.
  13. Did you wash and wax the boat pre or post-trip?
  14. Classic "should have been here yesterday" on Wolf Sunday, because Saturday was real good. Still got folks into fish (after a two hour fog delay), but was probably the toughest bite I've personally had in months. They both had a few good ones, probably the better ones of the day, come unbuttoned on a RES. I did get one of my other friends to come out and play though.
  15. Go find out and report back
  16. Lol, thanks. Although I really don't care about getting anything out of it. I keep plenty busy. I like the exposure and we always put out good content. He's fun to fish with. Guiding, having a lot of different people in the boat I'm used to characters. I'd love to do something with Aaron/Uncut. Those are my dudes.
  17. Don't waste your time at Lone Star or LaCygne. Go to Melvern. Fish slow. Then fish slower.
  18. Had a pretty stellar day on the water with this guy again today. Three lakes that will make up two separate videos. Keep an eye out, should be pretty good! He'll be back early next week too.
  19. Anytime! Glad you found a few and got to enjoy the lake.
  20. I might as well echo this report because it was the same for us. White Bass and Wipers everywhere. Didn't have one green or brown one after about 10:00, they all came way early. Had a group of 4 from Wichita split between two boats and everyone had a blast. The wind was brutal. Thankful for my xi5 but that wind took it out of me today. The guys at the guard station gave us a gift today by letting us fish til 11.
  21. I'll be there first thing both days regardless.
  22. @Thefrog22 fished it at the beginning of October I think. He's about the only one in this group I can think of that's fished it recently(ish).
  23. I was supposed to, but alas, fishing got in the way. My clients on Saturday told me it was the worst one they've been to in a while. So I don't feel too bad about not making that drive.
