  1. C21 is a line based around spinning reels so it doesn't have a lot of memory at all.
  2. that's an obvious statement. And chances are a medium doesn't have enough backbone. If he wants something that can effectively fish both a MH is a better choice. I had a few M action rods and not enough power to set the hook on a long cast or when I'm fishing cover. M action rods have there place but to me it's not for jigs/t-rigs.
  3. it's all preference. I can cast 3/16 fine on a 7 MH. I just think a MH is much more versitile than a M. Especially if he's going to fish around any cover. Good look turning the head on a 5 pounder with a M.
  4. Whenever the ice goes away.
  5. I'd rather flex a hook then not hook it in the first place. I always find myself wanting a heavier rod while fishing
  6. I think there are better rods out there than a bucoo. Dont be afriad to spend more money, better to have a rod that you like than a rod that's not exactly what you want but get it because it's cheaper. I've made that mistake in the past.
  7. I know how ya feel. I'm having troubles decieding between a few rods.
  8. I'd handle an *** before I get one. Was planning on getting one till I held it. Handle is way too small for me and it felt cheap.
  9. I'd go with a Mh. M action rods are under powered for most jigs.
  10. very nice rods. Built super good. Dont own one but handled them and got to fish with one for a bit and considered getting one myself.
  11. Kistler Magnesium, iRod Genisis 2 is popular, Powell Inferno. There are many choices in this price point. A MH/F will probably do the trick unless you're using heavy wire hooks, then maybe get a heavy.
  12. I'm aware of that, the extra weight would be for noise purposes.
  13. too stuck on that rage craw?
  14. Jerkbaits, even though i catch fish on them my wrist is so shot by the end of the day it's not even worth it most of the time.
  15. have you tried The Missle Baits drop craws?
  16. I am yet to try it. Used tubes and dreamshots a lot this last year. Fish were eating gobies like crazy.
  17. I made a few swimbaits last year and threw them for pike and worked
  18. put a tube on there instead. Little trick I found this year. I'm sure you've tried it.
  19. I use a worm hook right now. How heavy of a weight would you go? 1/4?
  20. that makes sense, I fish great lakes tribs so the shorter leader might help immitate goby.
  21. I do a lot of casting the dropshot though then dragging it and shaking it. So that's why I question the heavier weight for more sound
  22. My local rivers have about 2 - 3 feet of visibility. I love drop shotting but haven't had much success on it locally. What are some good dirty water baits? Should I inverse the size of my weight to make more noise? Thanks.
  23. Under $100 is tricky. Tackle Warehouse has Diawa T rods on sale for $40. Good rod for the money.
  24. Anyone know about this reel or the history of it? When was it made, or its value back in the day?
