  1. also comes in a 6' 3" model which imo is better than a 6' 9" when fishing vertical
  2. yes it is the Mojo, I have only fished with it a hand full of times, I picked it up in mid October and being in Wisconsin it gets cold quick, the few times I took it out I was impressed, the rod is very light weight, balances well, it is a true XF taper as well, sensitive for the money, the braid obviously helps a bit, I'm also going to use this for walleye jigging, so far I'm impressed.
  3. St Croix 6' 9" MLXF Mitchell 300 (cheapy till I get some money saved) 10 PP W/ 8lb Red Label Leader
  4. I was planning on getting one first, I've heard a lot of mixed feelings about the diesels
  5. I don't have one in particular, each combo is tool. If I had to pick one combo to fish I'd say my St Croix Premier 6'6" M/F and Lews SS. Maybe not the most versitile but just a combo I love to fish with
  6. I've only used one rod in the $50 - $80 range, I'm guessing they arent very sensitive?
  7. won't be till spring but might buy more than one, a spinning and 765 for froggin
  8. yeah they are $80 and cork and I think a different blank
  9. did you have the new version?
  10. After i get my Max 3D I'm planning on maybe getting a few Diesels, anyone used these or have input on them, seem like for the money they are great. Good for someone like me who's on a budget but wants rods to fill out combos
  11. I tend not to mess with them too much in fear of messing up settings, either way for $160 there are MUCH better reels
  12. St Croix is all I have from that list
  13. I would, sounds good for finesse jigs and lighter wire jigs, also the shorter length would be nice for pitching docks!
  14. Living on lake Michigan I've landed many salmon over 20 pounds, catfish over 25 pounds, walleye about 29 inches and perch over 13. Pretty lucky to be located where I am!
  15. Never used a SX spinning reel but heard a lot of good about them from walleye guys, Stradics are amazing, drag is amazing and still light.
  16. in my opinion the breaks are a PITA, getting a good setting for baits 3/16 - 1/4 is a pain
  17. Trilene Sensation is a much better line than people give it credit for! Has a bit of stretch but tough as nails!
  18. fished with it for a few months, didn't like it one bit, now Fluroclear is a tough line, has some memory but thats a given when you want abrasion resistance.
  19. swimjigs catch at least 30% of my green fish every year!
  20. CX has a lot of memory and no abrasion resistance
  21. ditto, my regular speed spool may weigh a but more but is buttery smooth and casts better.
  22. This is the best thread on here haha
  23. They are okay reels, they feel cheap in your hands though, feel kinda geary, I've heard a lot of bad reviews, I'd say tSat there are better reels in that price range (Lews Tournament Lite)
