I steelhead fish with a 8' 6" all the time so anything under that is fine

I'm about 6 foot and pitched docks with a 7' all summer and it wasn't too bad.

I do reel set my fish, just thought an extra 6 inches would help on a real long cast

Okay, I know I've made a lot of topics relating to rods in the last month but I'm just trying to get the most out if my next purchase so... I'm looking at getting a New Powell Max 3D. I fish a lot of finesse jigs and can not deciede between two models, the 723 or 683. I like the idea of a longer rod for deep water hooksets but like the shorter rod for the reduced weight and I have always been a fan of shorter rods. Any input would be great

Rods - St. Croix but intrested in Powell's Reels - Lews and a few abu's along with a Mitchell spinning reel Line - Still deciding

How does Red Label compare to abrazx? I know it's a "budget" fluro but being a high school student the cheaper the better

What do you guys prefer? I've used Trilene 100% FC a few times and love the way it handles, just wondering if seaguar makes a better line for the money! Thanks!

My buddy has one and it casts pretty nice and very smooth retrieve for the money it's one heck of a reel

Whats the difference between the Curado and Scorpion other than the color and where there made?

There's lots of money in a few shorelines now. Losing jigs is nothing new. Rip rap is some nasty stuff.

I know you're gonna lose a lot of jigs fishing rip rap but what am I best off with. Fished football jigs all summer and didnt hang up too much and fished some casting jigs in rip rap? What are your favorites?

I'd say a cabelas or bass pro rod. You probably won't find anything too impressive in that price range

Can you explain the differences than to me? C21 has more stretch and less abrasion resistance I noticed. Thats about it
