I've been looking at trying HI-SEAS this season, but came across McCoy! Both seem great, I have been fishing P-Line all season and I like it but too much memory? Anyone have experience with any of these lines?

I normally fish rivers along Lake Michigan when I'm staying near home, Where do the smallies go this time of year? Do they go deep? I'm a little limited considering I only have a 14 foot Mirrocraft. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

what are your favorite head designs? football seems like the only way to go around me?

haha, I've got a decent set-up for them already! (I fish jerkbaits a ton when I go to my cottage in Michigan) I'd love to pick up St. Croix Premier cranking rod for them though

Save up a little more and get yourself a St. Croix Mojo Bass with a Lews LFS. I don't have a LFS but it's supposed to better than the original speed spool and I have one of those and it's great!

Anyone fish jerkbaits in a little dirtier water? (about 3 feet of visibility) I love fishing jerkbaits but the river system I fish is pretty dirty and i'm wondering if there are any jerkbaits that excel in dirtier water. I've been fishing Husky Jerks and X-Raps and i'm considering getting a few Luck-E-Strike baits.

dropshot if you're fishing clear and deep (Table Rock is very clear if i'm not mistaken) if you get some dirtier water toss a square bill or spinnerbait shallow. don't be afraid to throw a bigger jerkbait if there is some chop on the water! Can get ya a big bag fast!

I hate bitsy flips, too small of profile. I still want a decent sized bait. I usually use tiny paca chunks and zoom super chunk jr

I fish in Two Rivers and it seems like when the salmon start to run the bass almost disapear in these rivers. I can get a few here and there but they're usually dinks.

I spider cut an shorten the skirt length. I use a 3/8 ounce football head. usually fish anywhere from a foot of water to 15.

I keep it small profile wise. I'd say the main reason I throw jigs is because I have more confidence in them and better bottom contact, and they get some big bites. I usually just fish the most subtle differences. For example I sat in about 6 FOW and woul cast up to three, and work it to where it's about five feet. the fish were also sitting off of rock points that had weeds nearby. Keep in mind I fish rivers for smallies about 95% of the time. Not too many lakes around here with Smallmouth.

I make my own finesse jigs for smallmouth fishing, they usually get me some big fish and I still catch some numbers? I throw a jig over a Texas rig 95% of the time? Anyone else throw jigs for smallies?
