Beautiful fish! I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I kind of wonder if she survived due to the shock.

1st ever bass on a "chatter" bait
Allow me to refresh your memory. I was telling you about how me and my buddy Ian were fishing and he was busy losing my lures. I was using a chatterbait and hooked into a ten+ pound fish which I promptly lost. While Ian was losing my $6 rattletraps, I remembered the senkos that Alex (New 2 Bass) gave to me a while back and suggested he use those. Remember how I then told you that he caught 2 bass on his first three casts? And how he caught about 10 of them in 20 minutes? Then I told you about wacky rigging and how you were supposed to fish it weightless. Still can't remember? Just admit it- I TAUGHT YOU HOW TO FISH.

1st ever bass on a "chatter" bait
Funny how there's no mention of me saying, "Mom, we killed them the other day using a senko. Maybe you should try wacky rigging it." Strange.

Austin vs. Nashville
Interesting points. I'm rather amused at your attempts to keep up with your much quicker offspring. But to counterpoint: 1) In Florida, we have automobiles. I understand your reluctance to get in one as I understand that most transportation done in Kentucky is by horseback. 2) I can understand your thoughts about the cooking, but please note that I only call when I want to know how to properly fry something. I will not contest who is better at frying when most of the family recipes contain a mysterious ingredient known as "lard" 3) I was a stranger when I met Jake and the darn dog follows me everywhere when I happen to be in the Bluegrass. 4) Physical impossibility. Please note that your oldest offspring is 6'3", 245. I tower over you, and you're like 1,000,000,000,000 years old, so I have to be careful because you might fall over and break a hip. 5) As far as fishing goes, we'll settle this when you get down here. But I expect a full blown dissertation to the entire site on how your kid laid the smack down on you when you were here.

Austin vs. Nashville
And now a point by point dismantling of Mom's argument: 1) I currently live in Florida because the state of Kentucky has a lifestyle far too slow for me. However, Nashville is only a 2 hour flight from West Palm Beach. 2) I am a better cook than mom. That's right, I went there. 3) Jake (Mom's rottweiler) likes me more anyway. 4) I would hate to kill my own mother. 5) Mom CANNOT outfish me. She has been ducking me for YEARS. : We'll see who is boss when she comes to visit this summer.

Austin vs. Nashville
Okay guys, I've been talking with my girlfriend about where we would go if we left West Palm Beach. We each came up with two cities: Austin and Nashville. We're thinking of the pros and cons of each. Obviously, I would have to move my entire practice to where we went and that would take a while to build back up. She's an attorney that works with state governments, so we'd need to be in a capitol city (Tallahassee is a dark horse). Anyway, I know these are two similar, awesome cities. Can you guys give me the pros and cons of each? We're planning on visiting them this year and making up our minds later. Please keep in mind that I grew up two hours from Nashville in western Kentucky. Thanks guys!
