  1. Sure. Especially braid. But not mono and fluoro, because memory gets progressively worse. Braid doesn't have this problem, so I stock up whenever I can because I know that I will eventually use it in the future.
  2. After I think about it, what you are saying is true. There is no perfect and precise way to make sure that the line gets transferred properly, with no line twist or memory.
  3. Fluorocarbon line has memory. If you spool on the fluorocarbon line the opposite way of the memory, everytime you cast, your line will have a tendency to "jump" off the spool. Not actually jump, but it just wont be spooled on tightly enough.
  4. whichever ones fat is female. (P.S. I know this isn't a good method but it's all I could think of)
  5. I'm sure that it would work.... it would just be complicated. You have to make sure that the line is going on the spool correctly, so that the line doesn't get reeled on backwards.
  6. Its all relative. Me and K-Mac are using metaphors. We are talking about the elasitcitiy of the braid compared to big game Compared to braid, big game's elasticity is like a rubberband. But I digress, Big Game is easily the best "bang for your buck" line I can think of off the top of my head.
  7. Okuma Helios. I'm surprised that Okuma barely receives any love. I have the rod a step below the Helios, the C3-40X and all I have to say is that it is fantastic. The sensitivety is really good, as I can feel every little tap on my weightless t rig. Check the TT reviews for the Helios. It also passes with flying marks.
  8. Compared to braid, it stretches like a rubberband.
  9. I have found that I can get older quantum PT reels like the energy and the reax for the cheap. Has anybody used these reels, and how is it? ( I think its the 2009 or 2012 model)Reax PT Energy PT
  10. Lol you cant get those for under 100$. I can get a tatula for 95$ off amazon.
  11. I will probably have to start using punching bullet weights on my T-rigs. The problem with all my "weeedless" lures like texas rigs and jigs is that the weeds get stuck in the eye of the hook (or jig).
  12. Recently, the Shimano citica G is no longer available on TW's website. Does anybody know why this is? Could it be that Shimano is going to launch a new citica at iCast this year?
  13. Lol I have no luck in coontail. All of my lures except topwater get weeded up, in the eye of the hooks.
  14. The best thing is that those rubber bands are usually see through, and are invisible in the water!!
  15. If you are willing to spend 90$, I would probably get a PQ at that range or Accurist.

Have you ever tried a shaky head rig with them?
  17. What action rod? and what brand? I would prefer a heavy rod for jigs.

    How do you rig them?
  19. lol I probably could have worded it better. But what I am trying to say is that at full retail, the orra sx cant compare to other reels. Better options in that range would be the PQ, shimano citica, or quantum acccurist.
  20. Lol at 100$, why would you get an orra sx? Just saying... There is plenty of better reels at the 100$ price point.
  21. they have an website that sells parts. Its called http://www.tackleservice.com/Consumer/CategoryListings.aspx?BrandID=6&CategoryID=30 . They pretty much have all the quantum parts for each of their reels for sale.
  22. Umm... so are you saying that just because something is manufactured in Korea it's better than something made in China?? Lol that just doesn't kinda make sense to me. In China, due to the cheap labor costs, reels can be cheaper but also less quality due to the unlearned workers. So essentially its a tradeoff. Would you sacrifice quality for the possibility of a better reel at a cheaper price? But just saying that something's manufacturing location determines its value is completely wrong.
  23. Lol full of eggs. But in actuality, its pretty hard to tell the difference between a fat chunky bass and a bass full of eggs. But anyways, in the spring I usually never take home bass. I only do that occasionally in the fall.
  24. I'm from central Jersey, and I am planning head down to Lake Manaplan in Franklin Township tomorrow to fish opening day.
  25. The OP should also try to use buzzbaits a lot. I have used them with great success during the summer and the spawn.
