  1. Sounds like jail. HA! thats good n funny right there. yep
  2. What is the most reliable fishfinder you could purchase for $200 or less?
  3. One of the reasons i was asking is because i saw some big bass cruising the shoreline acouple days ago, and i could amost swear that 3 of them were largemouths and one was a spotted bass. As wrong as that sounds, i could almost promise that was the case.
  4. What are the "tell-tale" characteristics of the two species that you can rely on to tell the two apart? some pretty pictures would also be nice . oh, and which one is this?
  5. I have never caught a fish with one eye but i DID catch an eye and no fish, swear to god, and man is that a akward sight, a single eye on a hook staring at me. i think it was a white bass, cuz after i set the hook it kinda just suspended at the top of the water and i saw it for a second. I would suggest pressing the barb down, or if being a single hook, cut the line and take it out through the back of the hook. if that makes any sense.
  6. HAHA. i like the capt's idea. in fact, wait till a game warden comes around, honk at him, and just bite the head off and laugh hysterically.
  7. Fall ill be here before we know and i was wanting to see what yalls approach in this time of year is.
  8. I hear you Les. I feel guilty even trimming a jig skirt over the water. Then ill see guys fishing and throwing more beer cans in the lake than lines and lures. its sad that a selfish few are not as enviromentally aware as the rest of us.
  9. Hmm. Now that you mention it, everytime i have corn and fish on my plate, the fish is always dead! Scott
  10. I can safely speak for ALL of us. Were proud of ya dude!
  11. thats interesting cpvenom. i didnt know that. thanks for the pic too
  12. www.youtube.com has some good fishing videos. go to sprts or animals (category) and type in "bass fishing"
  13. sounds good to me! either what Daniel My Brother said, or a used Jon boat with the worx.
  14. I cant say that anyone got me into fishing except ESPN outdoors and other similar shows like that. Wtaching those guys made fishing look like a blast. Although i def. dont have the consistensy that the pros on tv got, fishing is just as fun to me as it is to those guys!
  15. fatboy to the resuce! i appreciate it
  16. Ive only tried casting a fly one or two times, but 90 feet is a good chunk. ide like to see the video if you could post it.
  17. I really like this answer! although i would consider myself more of a stubborn fisherman who will ALWAYS feel that im lacking tackle.
  18. After what he said about the minnows nothing comes to mind better than this, I second it. I third this notion. I throw the floater almost anytime i see bass jumping. I figure, even if they were jumping for bugs or something else, the rapala floater will get their attention if their still in a topwater ambush mode.
  19. The guy on your lake has that exact same kind of watercraft? thats cool. ive never seen anyone else with one. maybe i should start a club. or maybe a water-like-bikergang. and no, mines not pink, but it might as well be. my cousin that it would look cool to put these wierd decals on it (without my permission, no less) but atleast its not pink.
  20. Heres my bass boat. I just posted a question about putting a fish finder on it. if you have any input, go to the post that says: FishFinder on a "JetSki"?? thanks!
  21. ok. so this is my fishing vessel. if your laughing, dont worry, i cant hear you. :-[ I want to know if it is possible for a depth/fish finder on this. I dont know much about the mechanics of fishfinders except that a transducer must be placed some where on the hull of the boat, right? My other concern is this: Since this thing is way shorter and lighter than a boat, the nose tends to drift from left to right easily with slight gust of wind. How fast does a fishfinder catch up and "refresh" itself to a slight shift of the boat?? Fishing solo, this thing is ridiculously awesome to fish off, being that you can get to places a bass boat or even jon boat/canoe cant go.
  22. after 5pm i would suggest some surfacing lures like a jerbait/floating minnow
  23. Havent hooked a turtle in a long time but yesterday i was slow rollin a spinnerbait and they kept chasing it back to the boat, but they poor guys just wernt fast enough. :'(
  24. I live on Lake Davidson and have looked for clubs around the Norman area, with no luck.
