A Thought To Make Or Break Your Day
If I wanted to keep my cost per fish down. I'd have a row boat, zebco 202 combo, cheap mono and a box of worms. But I wouldn't get much enjoyment from that.

Line To Line Connections
I will try that super glue idea.

Spinning Rod/reel Advice
Pflueger trion combo. $50. To $60 dol. 6'6 rod. When I got serious about bass fishing 16 years ago that was my first good set up and I still use it today. An upgrade to a 10 lb braid with a mono leader made it even more versitle.

Is A Long Leader Okay? What Lb. Test?
X2 If visibility is your concern, tie something on and give it a try. It is easy to change a leader to something else. I like the double uni.

Line To Line Connections
I have used a double uni for braid to floro or mono for years and they can last many trips. I am more concerned about the knot on the bait, it takes more of a beating. I retie when the leader gets short or for some reason I am concerned about it. Maybe I had to pull hard to get unsnaged.......

Windy Day Lures
Reaction baits. I fish the windy bank with cranks and jerk baits. My goto when that doesn't work is a T rig anaconda swimming. I like to cross cast the wind. boat control can be tough but the wind and waves are covering up your noise. The wind is your friend.

Spybait Rod
Get a whippy 7 ft rod. It will give you a long cast and then give you the play to fight with a light line. I use 4 lb pline cxx I can't believe how far a light lline can cast. The wind can put it into the trees fast if you aren't careful as well. Be careful where you put that $20 bait if you snag it can get expensive on light line.

Braid Test
I muscle my cast and that seems to be a prob with braid under 50 lb. if I ease up I have a lot less probs and can get some nice cast. Unless pitching I would rather not have braid on my baitcasters. I do like braid on spinning gear. Braid is great for cutting through vegetation.

Braid On Spinning Reels
That lightning rod will sing with the braid. My boy has it on his and it can be noisy with that guide. Another thread was talking about it being loud on a ghost rod. But I do prefer braid on spinn gear
