  1. I consider myself to be in that young group of anglers. The club I’m a member of is made up of guys mainly in there 60s and 70s. As a non boater I get to pick who I fish with which is cool but a struggle. We have a few members that if they ever fell in would not be able to get out without help. I try to bounce between boaters through out the year just in case. By doing that I have been exposed to so many different fishing styles it’s benefited me. But the best is there stories they have me laughing all day so that if we get skunked it was still an enjoyable day. Plus it reminds me of fishing with grandpa which are some of my greatest memories. so thanks to all you who share your boats with guys like me ??
  2. I’ve been using pp yellow this year. Great line so far no problems with it on bedding fish. But if your happy with white why change? Just a question I went to yellow as it was the only visible color my shop stocked.
  3. I fish a drop shot as shallow as possible in the spring. From the bank it can be a little challenging do to the angle your presenting it at but can still do it. I would start with a length you think will put you above the veg and increase until you aren’t snagging.
  4. @Dwbassin you will need to resize your image
  5. I started using the menace grub on my finesse jig. Seems to pair up nicely and just trimmed maybe .5” off
  6. Yea I got lucky I rolled with guys who I thought would fish well on a tidal system and tried to go with low ownership, almost worked
  7. @scaleface couldn’t help but laugh at the weight it’s crazy to think it might actually take that!!! That’s a pretty good showing!! I think a lot of people had jwill which gave them some extra points. My team went 2,5,6, 13 and 23. I got no bonus points and ended up 29th.
  8. @HeyCoach I’m sorry to hear the progression and what the drs are saying. But I am glad at least you are getting to spend time together, relive and even make some new happy memories hopefully in this time of darkness. Cherish the time you have and wishing your family strength and courage.
  9. @OCdockskipper yea I was pretty much locked on live today haha. Now to see how bad I can screw up lake fork lol. In the top 900 or so overall. I could use a boat!!! i ended up 13 in the tw group wonder if they give out anything for that?
  10. Ended up in 29th after all the bonus points were input
  11. @MIbassyaker not sure if it’s enough to take bb but he’s a lb up on Blaylock I dunno how accurate that is got my fingers crossed
  12. I am a bass memeber and that would help to offset the cost of a new iPhone I had to buy after last weeks NMBFN qualifiers ?
  13. @OCdockskipper looking at it more closely I would need Canterbury to catch big bag and bass as the leader also has crews and Kreiger who I do as well. If someone could do it Scott is more than capable
  14. Haha @OCdockskipper I was looking at that too. By far the best showing ive ever had. Hopefully one of the three will have a break out day like Clunn did in fl earlier this year. And to think I filled my team in 9 hours before blast off!!
  15. @FryDog62 my wife says the same thing when I’m watching it. though she loves to fish to and it always turns into a friendly competition on the water. I love that woman! @OCdockskipper happy birthday sounds like you all had a great day!??
  16. Search your state bass nation, they usually have info about clubs somewhere on there. That’s if you want to go with BASS. as far as flw associates clubs and tournaments I can’t help you there. Sorry.
  17. According to basstrack right now I have 3 in the top 10, we’ll see how the day plays out
  18. @J Francho thanks! And smh he’s on my fantasy team
  19. Interesting some of the guys not bed fishing are moving up. Sounds like the weather will wreck the sight fishing tomorrow. I won’t be able to watch as I’ll be prefishing for NM Bass Nation event. First one ever and on my home lake, but the fishing has been down right tough lately, nervous as hell! I’ll check in here to see how the rest of it goes.
  20. Another vote for the Alberto knot here. I haven’t had it break on me yet. Nice job on the fish too!
  21. Should be a good one here’s who I’m rolling with
  22. Vmc makes a good neko/wacky hook as well as a weedless wacky jig head. Fav way to work it is over the top of veg then dropping it into the holes.
  23. Dropshot with robiworms, Berkeley gulp, Yamamoto plastics. Tubes and seniors will produce both large and smallmouth. Seniors don’t have to be small just cause it’s clear. I catch plenty on 5”. If there is a large population of Shad in the lakes you fish match your jerks and cranks to that too. where I’m at fish seem hesitant to come to the bank unless we have a breeze. Once we get a little chop they come shallow. Days like that spinnerbaits and cranks can produce well. Line size i still fish 20lb copolymer on my trig, spinnerbait, tube and jig rods and don’t have problems catching fish. Biggest thing ive noticed is slow down and stay back from what your fishing. Good luck and tight lines.
  24. I’ve done it. It’s been a great numbers bait. The down side was small fish loved it but I’ve caught 3 lbers doing it.
