My Seibert Outdoors Day
Awesome! I recently got my latest order of chatter baits and some additional brush jigs in as well. Mind posting a pic of those spinners? I've been thinking about getting a couple soon.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I picked up two Lew's Tournament Pro reels, two 7'3" and 7' Duckett MMP rods, bunch of Seaguar fluoro and braid, bunch of assorted plastic worm and creature baits and another brush jig and vibe jig order from Mike. I have some gift cards for a new local shop that I plan to get some hard baits from when they stock fishing in February so I didn't get any hard baits. Wanted to try the Sniper FC line, but couldn't pass up the TW sale. There wasn't any LC rods left that I was interested in by the time I checked remaining stock.

Siebert Jigs
Mike is a great guy and makes quality jigs. I have placed several orders with him and have been thinking about getting some of his spinners to try out as well.

25 Days of Christmas Deals || What's Your Favorite Day?
I had every intention of trying Sunline Sniper FC for next year, but instead loaded up with the Seaguar sale and some Line and Lure conditioner to try out. I picked a couple more packs of Pit Boss and then the bait monkey showed up and I had to get a lot more stuff that wasn't on sale.

Lews or Abu Garcia
I prefer Lew's and have five of the Tournament Pro reels and love them. Nothing wrong with going with Abu though.

Show off your Stuff
I'm still still not sure if I like the new Tournament Pro yet. The line guide being out in the open kind of worries me. I have four of the Tournament Pro reels and decided to order another last night. Almost ordered a G until someone dropped price to $138 shipped on flea bay. I was bummed when I went to order and realized the site I had found selling them for $130 shipped sold out over Christmas holidays. The spool tensioner cap is interesting though.

Additional Rod Setup Ideas
I eventually plan to pick up a spinning setup. That will probably be the next setup I get, but right now it is not a priority. A lot of my preferred fishing is in less than 10' of water with grass and vegetation. I am looking to get one more setup right now that is versatile enough to cover what I'm interested in trying and learning. A few of my friends fish tournaments and next year I might tag alone on a couple trips. I use the 7'6" H with braid for punching, heavy jigs and frogs. One of the 7' MH rods is a dedicated plastic rod and the other one is used for buzz baits, spinnerbaits, light jigs and whatever else that tends to work. I think what I am looking for is a setup that will let me use lipless cranks, top water lures, and weightless plastics. Maybe some jerk baits like flukes and shallow cranks. I thought about getting a cranking rod, but don't do very much cranking right now and something like a Bandit 200 would be the biggest I use. I'm not set on getting this setup yet, but it is what sounds the most versatile right now. The setup I am considering is a 7' M/F with a 7:1 ratio reel and spooled with something like 10-12lb copolymer line. I would love some additional feedback and opinions on this.

Additional Rod Setup Ideas
A couple of friends got me into bass fishing this year and I have slowly be working on getting a couple rod setups while also learning all the different techniques. I currently have three setups that I use for the techniques I enjoy using the most. I recently have been wanting to add a fourth setup and thought I would ask here for some ideas on what to get. I know I should really get a finesse spinning setup, but currently looking to add another baitcasting setup. Current setups are two 7' MH Duckett MMP rods with 6:1 Lews Tournament Pros. I use these the most since they are versatile. Mostly worms, some jigs and light pitching and flipping, spinnerbaits and buzzbaits. The last setup is a 7'6" H Duckett MMP with a 7:1 Lews Tournament Pro. I use this for frogging and heavy punching. The MH are spooled with fluorocarbon and the H with braid. Flukes, spooks, soft jerk baits, sammy and shallow to mid cranks are some of the additional lures I'm interested in using. Perhaps I could add a fourth that would be versatile enough to use a couple of those techniques? I have been considering adding a 7' M casting setup and thought it could also be used for light worms. Also interested in what techniques others might use with my current setups.

Pitching Flipping Setup For Jigs
Thanks for the response. I'm in Mississippi way down south. Most of the time while fishing ponds, I just stick with plastics unless practicing. I'm relative new to bass fishing so I am still learning. I have not yet started fishing the lakes with my main two friends, but from what I understand, they mostly fish shallow edges and banks. The one that does a lot of pitching and flipping usually does so with something like a T-rigged pit boss or beaver style bait or 1/2oz jigs with trailers. He did inform me to stick with 1/2oz jigs if I decided to get into it. I doubt I would be doing any heavy punching for awhile. Flipping or pitching to shallow cover and maybe up to 6-8 feet is likely what I would be using it for and perhaps some frogging as well. 1/2oz or lighter with a trailer is most likely the heaviest I would be using for now.

Pitching Flipping Setup For Jigs
I recently got into bass fishing and purchased two new rod and reel setups for getting started. Most of my friends are pretty hardcore and fish weekly tournaments, so I have had some excellent advice from them. I just wanted to get some outside advice on what you all would do. The two setups I currently have are two 7' MH Duckett MMP rods equipped with Lew's Tournament Pro reels. One was originally a 6'10" MH, but decided to just swap it for another 7' MH. I consider this setup versatile for getting started with plastics, spinnerbaits and the likes. My dilemma is getting one more setup. I am really interested in pitching and flipping jigs and maybe frogging later on when I get more comfortable and learn all the techniques. What would you all do in this situation? Maybe another setup that is versatile enough to do several things. I would thinking something along the lines of a 7'6" MH or H with a 7.1:1 Lew's Tournament Pro. The other two reels are 6.4:1.
