  1. I mean my boat would bring 5500-7k right now, the motor is gonna be lets say 9k plus all the other stuff that I have to buy to get it running. So selling my old motor for about $2500 that would be at roughly $13k. I can find a 7-10 year old 20' boat (tr20, 201 pro, zx225) with a 225 fuel injected on it for what looks like $20-24k. So in my math it's gonna cost me $7-10 thousand more to have a newer boat and all when it's said and done. I just wondered how you guys added up the costs of everything, then weighed out what decision to make.
  2. I have a 93 stratos 201 pro xl with a 200 evinrude xp on it, motor has been nothing but probs and has ruined quite a few fishing trips(one thing after another). I see rebuilt 225-250 optimaxs going on eBay from 8500-9500. would it be worth to report the old boat and sell the evinrude? Or would I be better off to sell my boat, and buy a newer model boat with a good motor on it already? Thanks
  3. I'd go with a metanium, with a big flippin stick a 1/2oz or so won't even be noticeable. I think aldebaran reels are based more on light line finesse fishing
  4. Is $150 the best deal you can find them for right now? And the only one I've ever handled was a 100, are the 200 still featherlight?
  5. one thing I noticed is it gets snagged a lot more than any other square I'll I have, but it sure catches fish
  6. It don't work
  7. Are both the 100 and 200 size good reels?
  8. I own a variety of different grades of Shimano, I have always been brand loyal until recently. I know own Shimano and lews, and now I'm looking into diawa/quantum reels. I prefer my reels to feel/throw the same so I don't change up to often
  9. How does this reel stack up vs curados? They retail for $250 but are everywhere on eBay for $150. I handled one in field and stream and I loved the feel of it, what is everyone else's opinion about the reel? Should I go with this to try it out, or a curado 70? Btw I own 4 200i curados already
  10. If you like it exchange it, probably just a bad blank
  11. I'm still wondering how a jig can last you two weeks lol. They aren't really design to last forever, and the more mojo they have to me the better. Also custom jigs with better baked on paint jobs seems to last a lot longer
  12. 10" kut tail ymcb or possibly 7" senkos? I know thy aren't 10+" but the 7" senkos are massive!
  13. Buy a curado i 200pg and a 200hg and you will be ready to go. Look them up in eBay and you will find some smoking deals. I don't think this reel can be touched in the price range you are looking at
  14. I have learned to live maxima ultragreen20# for my smaller swimbaits which are pretty similar to all you have. Braid will break your heart sooner or later, when you chunk a bomb And here your line pop then watch your bait fly off into the sunset
  15. I prefer a loomis imx 7' heavy for my pitching, a shorter rod makes my pitching a lot more accurate, doesn't matter how much power you can put on a fish if you can't put the bait right in front of them.
  16. If it's like the bomber fat free shad in threads in shad, I always called it rainbow. I dont know the correct terminology for it, I always used pop-rs in that same color
  17. Everyone is making me jealous, I'm gonna have to order me one
  18. Super speed craw on 3/16 t-rig, drop shot with a shad shaped worm, keitech 3.8 on a 3/16 rugby jig head, rapala x-rap in rainbow trout
  19. Back of the boat line up for this year, just added a avid x to my lineup. Feels like a amazing rod, I like it a lot more than the og avid spinning rod but I was the other way around for the casting versions avidx/symetre, imx/curado, avid/curado, tour edition pt/curado, xx emtf/bb1 pro
  20. My Cardiff 400a is light compared to a brick.
  21. It's probably at least 10 or so years old, guy said he ordered it from cali. I figured you guys would know this one for sure, I don't even know where to find a certain bait like this.
  22. I have literally no clue what this bait is, been trying research it to find some ideas
