  1. I thought about trying out snaps or a swivel to see if results vary, still no replys
  2. Update: still waiting on reel to arrive, but I put my lews bb2 on it, love that combo so far may just stick with it. First outing I caught a 3lb 7oz on it. Not a giant like I was hoping for but still it's a start at building confidence in big baits
  3. I emailed don, and bassaholics. To see if I can get a reply from either I will update when I get a response
  4. Does anyone know how to get ahold of them? There number is not on the package and I cannot find a website. Thanks
  5. Anyone else? I'm lost with tuning baits
  6. So could it need more weight in the front? I could add another split ring. And it does it worse than other triple trouts that I have used. I am currently using gamakatsu short shank round bends in #2 with owner hyper wire split rings. I used to have st-56's in #2 but the front hook kept catching on the back joint so I switched the hooks out. It have done this with all hook configurations.
  7. My 6" triple trout swims kind of cocked to one side, the faster you reel it the more it ***** to the side until it is upside down. What is the correct way to tune these problems away. Thanks
  8. I don't think it matters really, I always use leftover line on spools. I always use 14-20 lb test though
  9. Ok just making sure, then it would be a no go then
  10. Shakey head, popper, pretty much anything really besides big swimbaits and big cranks
  11. Quick question, What's the max hp engine this boat can run? I am looking for me a boat and found one with 1999 225 Johnson on it. But I think the max for this boat is 200? Am I wrong? Thanks
  12. I now have 2-TP, 3 curado I, bb1 pro, and a bb2. I'm still torn on what brand I prefer
  13. Step up to the curado or TP range lol, then you have a debate on your hands that I couldn't even decide. So I have both
  14. Thanks wrb!!!!! All my big bass 7-8lbers, have come off of small baits with smaller line lol. So this will be a powerhouse setup to me, it's all a learning experience now because I have only caught a few swimbait fish but it sure is addicting
  15. Also the fast taper was the main reason I didn't want the upgraded phenix rod
  16. I bought a Cardiff mainly because I had a $100 bps card to blow lol, and I just wanted a inexpensive starter setup.
  17. Ok I have a heavy, maxima 20#, and a Cardiff 400a with Abec7 kit on the way as a starter swimbait system. I'm pumped
  18. I love my extreme mission type f rod, it is a amazing rod for Texas rigs and small swimbaits on jigheads
  19. Thanks, so do you think the heavy better fits my needs? I think it will be more versatile
  20. Has anyone used the phenix m1 8' heavy swimbait rod? How are your experiences with phenix as a company? I'm looking for a somewhat of a budget sqimbait rod for my 6-8" treble hook swimbaits. Like triple trouts, BBz-1 and jr, slammers, and glide baits
  21. Correct I'm not talking about the swinging rugby jig, I'm talking about the fixed jighead. I was wondering if there where any other makers of the ewg hook style football jighead. I'm in love with it now
  22. I bought some rugby heads because I was wanting new football heads for my swimbaits and the weed less design intrigued me, I fished them the past couple days and they are amazing and bouncing off rocks without getting hung. Does anyone else offer a offset shank hook football head design like this? These are the only ones I have found
  23. Ok thanks I was mainly wondering if there where any hidden gem swimbaits to imitate herring thanks all!!!
  24. I use zoom twin tail fat Alberts those are my fav
