What about the bite size herring from sworming hornet

I might pick up a bull herring to try out, and I shoulda been more specific I'm mainly looking for hard body swimbaits to slow roll in and around docks to get those suspended fish.

25# p-line cxx for me, I troll it my first cast to get coils out then I'm good all day, I've broke off 1/2oz buzz baits on 50# braid when I backlash bad it just doesn't have the stretch for sudden stops.

Those two look nice, I will check them out as well. Are there any more options?

Veritas 7'3" mh for me, sensitive is not a issue so I don't see spending big money on one.

I was using a 6.3 reel

I use a lews bb2 for 6" Huds and 6" triple trouts, and I feel as if the power is not there in the reel. I would lean more towards a used Calcutta b, you can find them all day on eBay.

I know someone with the exact same rod with about 2.5" broke off his, and it made it like a xf action heavy rod. It still feels good to me

I am thinking about buying a 92 21' stroker to fish local tournaments in, how rough do these boats ride in choppy water? And are they easy to fish out of? I'm just concerned that they are built for speed and not to fish out of.

Power pro super slick, 50lb minimum for bc because of digging on small braid

I fish double buzzbaits 3/8oz, and I prefer a m/h and a slower fast action for my buzz baits. I have a wore out carbonlite that really helps me get them hooked up good. And I also use 65lb braid with 20lb mono leader that helps me drive the hook good. I had bad problems with loosing fish on buzzbaits until I started using this setup.

I would like to find a whole handle and knob replacement, but I could just do a knob replacement if needed

My 6500cs has the cheap plastic grip handle and I'm wanting to upgrade it, i am looking for manufacturers of handles like this one here. Or will one off of a toro fit my reel?

There's a shimano Sahara on eBay for $65 and a Abu veritas on eBay as well in 6'6" m for $70 both free shipping, you can look around and find the veritas cheaper. Which I think would be a great starter setup, since I started off with a symetre and a 6'6" m rod years ago

Yes they are very beautiful, and I could believe I caught such a hog in the river here as I don't river fish much anymore since I have a boat. And yes I'm already looking at the other models planning ahead haha

Caught the first one on it today and the rod is amazing, definitely worth the money to me. Extremely sensitive, lightweight, and loads beautifully
