Mine was the loon color and every one was on a steady retrieve.

First time out with the whopper plopper 90
I have not fished buzz baits very much. I like this bc it does not have a metal sound and you can pause it if you need to. I had 3 fish miss it, but I doubt they would have got a buzz bait either.

Getting a new bait caster.. Suggestions please
I was in the same boat as you. I found nice black rod on here and used my cabelas bucks on the new *** reel. It is suppose to be delivered today. I was going to get a lews reel, but figured I would match this one up with my rod.

Aresenal Expensive or multiple?
You thinking $200 for bottom contact presentations where you need sensitivity and $100 for reaction style baits?

Looking for new rods $100-120
@SmallTownTexasAngler If you are still looking I have a Diawa Tatula that you can try out before you buy. I bought a couple custom Tigerrodz that you can also try. Shoot me a message and we can meet up. Look at the 2:35 mark for a 20% off code if you are looking at the Castaway Taranis.

I'm looking for a inexpensive kayak stable enough to stand on
The Diablo Amigo's are wide enough to stand in and not much more money. http://www.austinkayak.com/products/12734/Diablo-Amigo-Recreational-Kayak.html If you are on facebook talk to Guillermo González. Im sure he will be more than glad to help you.

what was your first lure
Tiny torpedo for me. I bought my 5 year old step son a tiny torpedo a few months ago and that is what he has been using to learn how to cast in a little pond.

Z Man Wormz vs Strike King 3X Elaztech Finesse Worm
Are these the same worms, but the Z Mans are a $1 cheaper per pack? I am going to grab some of the 7" worms to try out shaky head fishing after watching this video: http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Strike_King_3X_Elaztech_Finesse_Worm/descpage-SXFW.html?from=basres https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Z_Man_Finesse_Wormz/descpage-ZMANFNW.html?from=basres

Advice and Tips for future GUIDE?
Make it a weekend gig to start off with. Or if you have vacation days at work use those during the best times of the year and book up.

Advice and Tips for future GUIDE?
I would get in touch with Shane ( https://dallas.craigslist.org/sdf/spo/5369464877.html ) He has a very good reputation here in Texas. I think you could explain that you would be targeting a completely different part of the county and he would let you pick his brain. I have texted him so many times asking yak questions and he always replies. Seems like a real good guy. I will be booking a trip with him this year. You can even get on the Texas Fishing Forum and search for him and see some great reviews. Another thing you might do is to take a road trip and book a trip with him. I will put money on it that will be the best $125 you could spend. Fish and pick his brain.

Good taxidermist for Smallmouth
Very nice fish AJ!! I think I am going to make the canvases like you when/if I ever catch any worthy of it. I'm not really a mount guy. While I think they look great I just don't have room in my house. My problem is most of my fishing is by myself and I never have anybody to take a good picture. Oh, and very nice fish skeeter. I have never caught a small mouth.

Good taxidermist for Smallmouth
I dont know who Antzl is, but this is where I order my canvases from. I collect baseball autographs, but the same could be done for fishing. http://www.bestofmainecorp.com/canvas.html Very reasonable prices then I get it stretched locally. Its about $30-40 to stretch my 24x36 canvases with the thick gallary bars. Cheaper for thinner bars. Or you could just order it stretched and ready to hang. Adding the words is easy.

New Reel - Can I Put More Line On?
Thanks guys. That's what I thought.

New Reel - Can I Put More Line On?
I still have the line attached to the spool. I can add more.

New Reel - Can I Put More Line On?
This is a new reel to me. I normally fill it to about an 1/8" from the top, but if I go any higher it seems like it will be going at a downward angle to the eye (or whatever its called).

Powerpro
Ok. I see a backlash waiting to happen, but I will try it.
