  1. isnt ford coming out woth something similar in their trucks?
  2. lightning rods are excellent rods!
  3. i have a pfleuger president baitcast. i use it for flipping and never had any issues. id rather use daiwa and lews. you can get the daiwa tatula for 100 dollars on amazon compared to 150 on tackle warehouse. best reel for money IMO
  4. they break like toothpicks. i had 2 snapped both on hooksets. id rsther fish a berkley lightning shock rod than a carrot stick. now i use denali
  5. been in a g3 a bunch. unless the water is really rough. the ride is pretty smooth
  6. i have the second one. no problems with it. its a simple design which i like and hold a lot of tackle i can fit 6 of the boxes in the bag and 1 on top
  7. 1. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/106449-offset-vs-ewg-hooks/ 2. i like a 2/0 gamakatsu weedless finesse hook with an o ring around the senko
  8. if you want drag it. id try a t-rig with a skip gap hook. pegging the weight if youd like. skip gaps hold tubes up a lot better then other worm works, which is what ive used them for. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Gamakatsu_Skip_Gap_Worm_Hooks/descpage-GSGH.html?from=basres
  9. if you like fishing jigs and other lead head baits. id go for it and buy a lead pot and molds. itll pay for itself if you use it enough. i spent about 500 dollars got a lead pot. some lead. pins. hooks. weedguards. several colors of powder paint. and a ton of skirts. along with a brush jig mold and a punch skirt mold. i still want to get a football head. shaky jead. and swim jig mold. but thatll be later if you fish a lot it can save some money overtime
  10. ill empty my go to colors and place em in a plano box. and the rest go in a zip lock with whatever they are (beavers. trick worms. flukes. paca craws. etc)
  11. if im not catching fish on a t rig or jig like i normally would ill usually back off and throw a shaky head off some points. or drag it in front of a real grassy bank
  12. @Junk Fisherman what lakes in so. ill?
  13. caught these 2 about 10 minutes apart. didnt weigh or bump either. first one im guess 5.5 to 6 next one id say is pushing 7
  14. green pumpkin senko black and blue jig spro frog 2.5 crank bait watermelon red trick worm
  15. so far this year ive spent over 2000 on fishing and the seasons barely started 1 hds 9 touch 300 dollars worth of skirts and powder paint for jigs 100 dollar on crappie rod and reel 200 dollar rod and reel combo (denali and tatula) 30 dollars pf seaguar line and 200 dollars on tackle warehouse. does the bait monkey ever go away?
  16. i havent broke a rod yet due to accidental reasonings. my brother did back over one of my better combos tho. and i broke the tip on one with a hookset. and im not easy on rods. cant tell you how many times ive rammed them into a wall carrying them in the house
  17. early. i got a rattle trap. jerk bait. shaky head. jig. once it warms up. 1 crank bait rod. 1 frog 2 jigs. 1 wacky rig. 1 shaky head. and 1 t rig. sometimes chatterbait/spinnerbait
  18. thanks thats what i thought. appreciate the reply
  19. was looking at graphs and decided on lowrance hds 9 touch. the wiring has me confused as the manual didnt give much detail. to the best of my knowledge i just need to connect the black and red wires for power and then connect my transducers to the unit(the sonar and side scan) and then they will both power on along with the unit. is that correct? and then the yellow wire and the other extra green blue etc.. are not needed? im not worried about the gauges and music on the unit
  20. i have the diawa t3 and tatula 100hsl. love the tatula for skipping docks. i think its the best reel for the money. you can get them for 99 dollars on amazon compared to 150
  21. i would also look at lews reels and the diawa tatula. i have 3 of the tatula 100hsl and 1 lews that cost 100. all perform great. if you do look at a tatula. amazon has them 50 dollars cheaper (new in box) than tackle warehouse
  22. i had a black max gave to me and used it for white bass and sauger fishing mainly. i can cast it mile and havent had any major issues yet and ive had it almost 3 years. if i had to buy another i would feel confident going to a tournament with a black max
  23. redid my boat and put in all new deck boards. pretty easy work just time consuming. we did mine in 3 or 4 nights. youtube will be your best friend along with google. we used indoor outdoor carpet glue and marine carpet. the hardest part is cutting the corners around lids. also get a good sharp carpet knife. when you cut your piece out always use orientation arrows on the back side to distinguish which way the piece will lay. if you turn the carpet wrong it will stand out. i think altogether we had about 400-500 in mine with glue. carpet. and new deck boards.
  24. we use a nett for anything over about 3 poinds. lays in the middle over the console. everytime we hook a fish the other guy reels in immediately and picks up the net. i dont think weve lost a fish at the boat the last 2 or 3 years when netting. i could probably just lip them and be fine also. but were pretty quick at netting. other guy says when hes coming up. get the net by the water and dont jab at it
