Reminds me of golf... I can hammer it on the driving range but when I get out on the course with tree lined fairways, water hazards and sand traps the game changes! Needemp had a great idea about adding distractions while you practice... I can send my kids over and you can practice with them running wild!

I just wondered... cause my one pond has a 5' x 10' appendage and it is bone dry. The bottom corner of that pic, you can see the lake and it looks like grass is growing and it looks like the lake is at it's normal depth. All my lakes have a 5' drop off with dirt or muck on the bottom, just curious... Anyway, nice fish!

Not alone... We hit the causeway or the Gandy pier at lunch (everyday) and do a little saltwater fishing to breakup the day! Sometimes when I get home from work and it was one of those days, I grab the rod to do a little pond fishing! Great stress reliever!

I live on a 50 acre lake and have caught kids sneaking their jon boats on (they usually are denied access to lakes or have been kicked out of private lakes... I usually confront them and ask them if they realize it is private property. If the kids are are polite, apologize, and practice C&R, I usually let them go. I also tell them to check in with me before going out the next time (It's nice to know when someone is in your backyard). It is nice to see kids that are sooo into fishing and talking about fishing tournaments. I would rather have them in my backyard catching fish than robbing my house or getting into trouble with the law. I remember what it was like when I was younger not having a boat or a car to drive myself to a nearby public lake. It was nice to have homeowner's that would let you catch fish in their backyards. Just remember to be nice and most people are willing to give you access.

I don't think you did anything wrong! If they were anchored and you were using the TM then I see nothing wrong. Especially if you did all of those things and then proceeded in the opposite direction after lowering the TM.

Avid, I use a jetski trailer... I had a friend that sold jet ski's and motorcycles. Told him what I was looking for and he found me a used trailer. I adjusted the bunk's to fit the bottom of the boat. I use my lawn tractor to tow it back and forth to the lake in the back yard. It also works well when I tow it to the local lakes to fish! Kevin

I was just giving you a hard time ... I enjoy hitting the flats here in sunny Florida when the bass aren't biting! Although the temperature is pretty much the same on the lake as it is on the flats! HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!
