with Fedor losing a few weeks back we can legitimately say Lesnar is the best heavyweight on the planet right now. He showed a lot of heart in that 1st round, which I think a lot of people questioned. Now I just hope Frank Mir somehow gets back into title contention so we can see Lesnar deform Mir's face again

You have no idea! He just never quit. He hit me on a long cast and I immediately knew it was a good fish, because of the head shake. Actually, it was more of a head wobble because it was much slower than a typical head shake you feel. I've never had a fish dig as much as that one did and just didn't want to come up at all. By far the best fight I've had with a fish! Thats what I figured because my PB spot is only about 17 1/2 inches and fought just as hard as the 5lb smallie I caught earlier this year. Spots are gamer than smallies in that department IMO

I turned 15 todayand what a present I got 8-) Got out on Pickwick today to practice for a club tournament next weekend. Got on em good, fished gravel points and caught 8 or 9 largemouth from 2-4lbs on gravel points. Boat was sitting in anywhere from 10-30ft of water and was throwing into less than a foot and dragging a shaky head back out. Well after catching all those Largemouth on the traditionally smallmouth habitat we cruised around a gravel point and into a pocket and started throwing at isolated pieces of brush and such in about 5 feet of water. I felt a little bitty tick on my line and it just started inching away. I set the hook and immediatly knew it was big. It wasn't until it was right next to the boat that I realized it was a big smallie. As soon as it was in the net I freaked. By far the biggest smallmouth I've ever caught. Might not be huge to some folks but it sure is to me. She went 5lbs 2oz and full of eggs. Caught on a 1/4oz shaky head with a black trick worm The picture doesnt do it justice but to put it in perspective, I'm 6ft tall and it covered the length of my torso.

i think a bass could live basically the same way with one eye as it would with two. they would just rely on sensory organs a little more

It wouldnt surprise me, When I fished the Jr Southern Divisional there last year I believe someone in the adult divisional caught one weighing upwards of 9lbs. So a 10 probably isn't out of the question
