  1. The one 51 Mantle was one of three psa 9 in existance. It went for 15K+. However the price of the older cards has come down some since then. The one I kept is a strong psa 8, very slight off center. I don't remember how many went through my bicycle spokes! :
  2. Sold all my 49 through 54 Bowmans and Topps cards in 02. Got an 01 Durango and an 01 Kia Sportage and some spending money out of the deal. Kept one of the 51 Bowman Mantle cards though.
  3. If I like the dock I'll throw a crank bait and/or spinner bait 3 or 4 times, then skip a jig n pig a few times, then a swim senko or brush hog a few times and finally a weightless senko. I've caught as many as 5 or 6 fish off small docks doing this.
  4. Early Dec., 07, jig n pig, about 11:00 in the morning in east Texas. 10.25#

Welcome Reo to a great fishing forum. Wonderful place to learn and to share.
  6. Looks like the ice finally got off up there. ;D Nice fish RW. I'm heading back to Fork friday.
  7. Welcome, you'll be 'hooked' before long.
  8. Welcome to the best forum on the net. Lots of great people and a wonderful place to learn and to share.
  9. IMHO only. When fishing a single hook I like a heavy rod to 'cross their eyes' for that one hook to penetrate. When fishing trebles, the softer action will allow more hooks to get hooked up and won't tear out the one(s) that are already hooked up. Also, when a fish makes a sudden turn or makes a run it provides more of a buffer rather than trying to adjust your drag while fighting a fish. Again, just my opinion.
  10. Probably a dumb question, but WHY is there a season?
  11. It's got to be at least 3/8 oz. for me or I get into trouble. P-line braid works well and the 'professional overruns' come out easier.

I'm taking my 1981 Honda C70 Passport to the shop after work today. It runs but the electrical (6-volt) needs some work done. Last time I checked it got about 65 mpg and my Durango gets 13 mpg.
  13. Welcome to our little corner of the internet.
  14. Got to go with spinnerbait as well. Maybe white/chartruse. Also try swimming a swim senko through there and hold on!

  16. Because the ole lady thinks we should pay the bills.... October-April 2-3 times a week @ 6-7 hours May-Sept. once or twice a week @ 2 - 4 hours
  17. If and when she gets the ring on her finger all that will change. She will be more understanding about your fishing and other activities. . . . . . . . . . . NOT! ;D
  18. Welcome to the forum.
  19. Too wet to work so I fished three strip pits yesterday. First two were too muddy but caught one 3.5# on a swim senko. The last one I went to I caught 22 on a swim senko, but the total weight probably wasn't 20#. ;D
  20. Swim Senko, traps, and spinner baits have been working for me. Fish are pretty active between monsoons.
  21. Welcom ksbasser, great place to learn and to share. Have a daughter that lives in Clearwater, I'm from Pittsburg America.
  22. Thanks rays, just a few miles from my house. Congrats to Tyson and he has a great t-shirt on!
  23. Cought part of the noon news story that a possible new state record largemouth was caught in a strip pit in SE Kansas over the weekend. Old record is (was) 11.17 I think, and I thought I heard this one, caught by a 16 year old was 12.31(?). Any one heard anything?
