  1. Try to think of it like a teeter totter. As on side goes up the other must go down at the same pace.
  2. Food for thought, if your using a swimbait most likely your fishing for a trophy size fish, which obviously varies depending on location. In my mind any bass over 6-8lb easily eats a 6in. fish for supper when they're in the right mood. I'm in Mass and I've got a 6in. Castaic Rainbow on the way. I think in the next couple years they'll be a lot more anglers around the country using swimbaits. I think it's just something that hasn't caught on yet. BTW, all the swimbaits pictured in the thread are absolutely beautiful baits. I'm very excited about getting mine and using it.
  3. I don't know about you but the only thing I can fish is weedless plastics and shallow lures. Fishing the bottom is not an option in my lake.
  4. Annoyious Milfoilus I have tons of that crap in the lake closest to my house. I have a love/hate relationship with this stuff. It's great for bass but it's really tough to get through. I've lost a few really nice fish this year because they've gotten wrapped up in it. And a couple I even had braid on. >
  5. Too bad you didn't have a Mattlures Ultimate Bluegill to swim around. That would have been interesting.
  6. It's not Chompers you're thinking of?
  7. Avid, something tells me you were on "enhancers" when you broke your record too. ;D
  8. I have a 2-sided BPS storage bag and that's exactly what I do too. If it were me and I had 4 storage bags I would probably take one bag and fill it up with the baits used most often so that I could try to stay in and out of one bag instead of 4.
  9. Yeah the baitmonkey is alive and well. He's standing on my shoulder right now telling me I need to reoder some plastics to go with the combo I've got coming in the mail today. LOL
  10. Yeah but wasn't there physical evidence that Rose bet on baseball? I'm not saying it's fair that Bonds gets to hold the record but if there's no physical evidence of steroid use and he won't admit to it you can't take the number away.
  11. http://www.probassfishing.ca/tackle/senkoworm.html O-rings and nails are optional. I personally never use them.
  12. Infidel's got it. That's the Rock Bass I was talking about.
  13. Yeah, I just get so frustrated with the whole steroid thing. I love baseball and hate to see it tarnished but the fact of the matter is that the majority of players are using something to enhance their skills. Barry Bonds just happens to be passing a milestone and has an easy attitude to not like. Here's some food for thought. What would the guys back in the 20s, and 30s done if they had so much access to enhancers that the guys today have? :
  14. I think Barry has a point somewhat. I also think some of his point is his ego talking. He likes to think they all those people booing him and taking pictures are doing it because it's him. I think they're doing it because it's baseball and they know they're watching baseball history. I for one can't stand Barry Bonds, steroids aside. I think he has a crappy attitude and I can't stand his personality from what I've seen through the media. Was I watching last night. You bet. Not because I like Barry Bonds but because I love baseball and when you talk about baseball history the Home Run record is about as big as it gets. To get back to the topic of Barry cheating. The elbow protector theory is IMO about as far fetched as you can get. I would have to see scientific proof that an elbow protector can enhance a swing that much. As for the steriods issue. I think he did use steroids. Unfortunately has was not busted. Baseball is a numbers game. His number of home runs is 756 and right now he is technically innocent of using steroids. As much as people hate that just the way it is. I think it should all be dropped until/if it is ever found that he did in fact use steroids.
  15. Ditto what all these guys said and you can never go wrong with a stick worm rigged weightless on about 2/0 ewg hook to let it sink nice and slow around and in pads. Good luck. Let us know what ya did and if it worked or didn't.
  16. Now that I would pay to see. ;D
  17. Largemouth, Smallmouth, Spots, White Bass and have caught several Rock Bass this summer. Still haven't caught any stripers yet. Of course, I have gone fishing for them yet either. :
  18. Watermelon and Green Pumpkin both with black flakes are the two colors I use most. Out of the two I use Gren Pumpkin more often.
  19. Awesome. You guys deserve it. Especially Zell after what he went through with the shirts!
  20. I use Windows XP Professional at work and Vista Home Edition at home and have had no problems at all since the site was moved.
  21. That's a great looking family. Definitely something to be proud of.
  22. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1151590913 This will help you out. The rest is lots and lots of practice. My suggestion is to start out with heavier baits until get comfortable using a baitcaster.
  23. He tried to but forgot his way to the lake and got lost. Now he's just driving aimlessly hoping to find his way home. We'll give it till 6:30 before we send the Natl Guard out after him. ;D Just remember Russ they say 40 is the new 30 so your all set. Happy Birthday Man. Now go out and catch a 10 lber.
  24. Glenn has a good point. I'll be voting for Lake Ellis in Athol MA. I hear there have been a few 4-5 lbers caught this year and one 6lber. You guys don't even have to worry about slips and boat rentals the lake will still be iced over. We'll be able to ice fish until we drop.

Hey Avid, that's a fine looking family. No reason you shouldn't be showing them off.
