I have a white ice duckett micro guide rod in which half of the guides have broken off. Any one know where I can get rod repaired in the Memphis Area? I love the rod but hate the micro guides, was hoping to convert it to a traditional guided rod

I went up there below the dam yesterday to catch some skipjack for a upcoming event, and they didn't turn on until about 30 minutes before dark. The white/stripe bass were pretty active then as well. they were running 3 generators. I just fished from the bank. Not sure what the smallies were doing though.

You might see if some club puts on a open "fruit jar" tournament periodically. Most of the times the fruit jar tournaments are not all day affairs and usually very affordable. Our club actually started out as a Wednesday afternoon fruit jar tournament and bloomed into a 8 lake/2 day classic trail in less than 4 years with over 50 members.

The West Tennessee Puddle Jumpers Bass Club has compiled its 2017 Schedule. The lakes will be Glenn Springs, Beech, Pickwick, Gibson, Reelfoot, Carroll County, Paris Landing, and Birdsong Resort. The club is a bunch of friendly, laid back bunch of folks who love to fish. Period. There is no boat size restriction (as long as the boat has a adequate circulating livewell). Membership Fee is $25 per person and Entry Fee is $50 per boat. (except for fundraiser entry is $75). You could host a tournament on one of your major area lakes, say make the entry fee $75 per boat. $25 would go to the college team, and the other $50 would go to tournament payouts. Maybe get some local businesses to donate a rod or a reel for raffle. Sometimes even the winners of the tourney will donate the winnings back to the fundraiser. Our trail does this twice a year for the Carl Perkins Center. Hope this helps. Good Luck!!!!

I have always used "please release me" mainly due to its availability. (bass pro and academy usually have it). The main key to keeping your catch alive is a good circulation system, and periodically checking on your fish during the tournament. On warmer dates make sure to keep ice on board to add if needed to keep livewell cool.

Newbie to this sight, Do neighborhood lakes apply to this thread? If so try otter lake in raliegh. I grew up there caught a 12.5 in the 90's. lake was stocked with floridas. haven't fished it in years but I bet their are some bruisers in it now.
