  1. I feel privileged to have you comment your opinion. Seem to be a popular dude on here. I've read some of your posts long before I joined this site. I noticed you live or are from Michigan. Ever fished in Muskegon ?
  2. Definitely not just a camera angle. I thought I was the only one to catch a bass like this. It hit a in line spinner. It looked really deformed. I felt bad for it haha . But if it can track down my spinner. It can track down other prey as well. I wonder what this condition is called. This was the only time I had seen it up until now. And I've held hundreds of bass.
  3. It's all preference isn't it ? I don't use anything that says KVD on it because of a bad experience I had with one of his "KVD approved " items. So ultimately I use nothing from strike King except some of the rage tails . But I'm sure I could use nothing but strike king products and still catch just as many fish . Personally. I like rapala , and bomber for cranks. Culprit , zoom, gyb for plastics
  4. May not be the profile you want. But the rapala xrap countdown . And xrap shallow shad both come to a nice roll on the pause.
  5. I'd try a big worm culprit is my favorite. But there are so many it's really just preference . Oversized worm. T rigged. Zoom has a nice one called ol monster
  6. When my grandpa past. He left behind all his tackle . There is a soft Plano bag with 4 cases inside it. All stuffed with culprit worms. Every color you could think of. He would take me and my brother fishing and almost always used one from the bank. He bought me two packs as a stocking stuffer one year. And told me these are my two favorite colors . Red shad, Nd tequila.
  7. Agreed. Love the mepps. That would be my choice. Even caught a hefty channel cat on one .
  8. Im curious, if you could only choose one lure, (Let's say you were stranded) what would you choose ? Like if you had no boat. Just a rod and one lure. From the bank, In an unknown area.
  9. Ohio pond hog
  10. Ha-ha . I didn't know what I was getting into posting this ! All will be considered. Thanks
  11. Thanks for the story. I thank everyone who has posted. As I've enjoyed reading them all. I can relate to this one however. appreciate your memory. And good luck
  12. I'm not new to fishing. But I am new to spending more than 10 dollars for a single lure (more like 20 with lucky craft) I usually fish medium sized farm ponds and some decent sized lakes. I'm not over confident, but generally catch fish when I go fishing. I've noticed the lucky craft lures and have been reading about how the pros use them and such. But for a young father on a budget , would it be worth me trying one ? If so. What would you recommend . ?
  13. Thorough explanation. ! I caught my PB on a rapala skitter pop. An oversized one in a frog pattern.
  14. Yea that always leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Leaving 8 dollars behind in a tree .
  15. Some deep stories. And obviously some life lessons. The best thing about those memories , is that they are ours forever . No one is coming to repo that memory of your cottage trip, or first trout. Awesome guys. Thanks
  16. If you're suggesting you don't care for rapalas. I would be glad to take those pieces of junk off of you . To dispose of , of course
  17. Awesome stories . I hope you give your kids or grandkids similar memories.
  18. I'm interested in reading what got you into fishing when you were young ? And your most memorable fishing experience
  19. I am an avid rapala user. I own lots of tackle , soft plastics , tons of different cranks but I always find myself enjoying a rapala. It's what got me hooked on artificial lures when I was just a young boy . Astonished that I could catch fish on a fake minnow trolling with my buddy in a paddle boat . Anyway , I was wondering what your favorite rapala model is ? And why ? Also your favorite color.
