  1. My grand father came up today and we decided to go out on our lake for a little bit. bite was slow managed one 3 pounder (lake average) we decided it would be too hard to row that far with strong wind... we didn't go, i will definitely be there in the future!
  2. Thank you, and how much did they cost, Jeffo?
  3. Looking at a 14' jon boat. What would be a good battery for a Minn Kota Endura Max 55 42” Shaft and a Minn Kota 45 Edge Bow Mount 45” Shaft motor? Keep in mind that I will be 16 and going to local lakes for a day of fishing. I will use the transom motor for runs and the bow mount for trolling. I am paying for the whole thing myself (I think). Money is tight, but I don't want some rinky dink boat that won't last. I want to make sure it will last a while. I want to stay under 1500 total. 500 for boat plus trailer 750 for motors, that doesn't love much room for the rest including the casting deck and other stuff. So back to my point, are Cabelas AGM batteries worth it, or will a marine/rv deep cell work. I will be buying one for each motor. Also, i might not put the bow mount on right away, as money is tight. Thank you so much, Id be lost without you all.
  4. lots of em, they catch fish too!
  5. Attach a hook and bobber to some CRUSTY MONO and put a nightcrawler on... They pop near negation a lot, also look at your electronics
  6. try avionics or just a google search
  7. I like smaller rods, but will limit casting distance
  8. I like your idea, fishnkamp. Pete I am also looking into a small boat. You can get a small 12 foot v hull and put a casting deck on the front 2 thirds. This works well for my friend and I.
  9. I finally found a decent boat with a trailer! I want to add a cast in g deck. The picture is what I want it to resemble. I don't want the tall chair, as I stand most of the time. I wan to put a Minn Kota Powerdrive 48" Shaft, 45 pound thrust motor in the front, and a 45 pound thrust endure c2 in the transom. Will this work in small lakes?
  10. Looking for a jon boat. If the person does not have a title currently, is there any way to get one? Thanks...
  11. Thanks Sundog you too!
  12. Thank you both so much for the help, I am going to try to convince my friend who has a 12 foot boat and motor to come with, I will try my best and will post some pics if I am lucky!
  13. Thanks for the help! my plan is a drop shot, extra deep diving crankbait, and a blade bait. along the points and drop offs if i can find them...
  14. No, i only have rods, a kayak and a jon boat, nothing else
  15. I am going fishing tomorrow at Francis E. Walter Dam in PA. It is now for big Smallmouth and Largemouth. Will be partly cloudy with a high of 72. I have access to a jon boat with no motor and a kayak. Id prefer to not fish from the shore because of the 100's of Copperheads. My goal was to catch a 3 pound smallmouth. But I want to catch fish. The bottom is rocky and there are many points. I probably can't go early in the morning. How should I fish the water body?
  16. Cool! and i believe you, thats a big fish too!
  17. Was this at Quabbin Reservoir, I really want to go there and do you have a picture?
  18. Crusty wonders if you were peering at Crusty through the bushes...
