  1. what ever place you may be going, ask some of theses guys in advance. they can be very helpful. check out local bait shops .and if you have a smart phone there are aps for most lakes showing channels and depth layout. good luck this year ,tight lines

  8. current does help. I fish lay lake right below you. try rocky points or try green pumpkin red finesse worm on bullet or football head where ledges fall off fast. just barely move bait let it fall, watch line close. you might not feel the bite.
  9. welcome from Indiana. I'm coming your way in march "lake fork". scoot over! good luck this year tight lines.hope you get to watch them boys haul in a big one.
  10. hope not. but I would encourage big box type stores, to really invest in counter people at there specific department,to be very knowlageble. for example I was In acadamy few months back wanting certain bait. they didn't even know if they carried brand. I found it,they did. ask second ? they didn't know that answer either. what a shame! I too like to hold , feel, ask questions .my point being invest heavily in the customer. and just maybe that bottom line would be better.
  11. I guess I don't know. but I'm going to go to lake fork next month and give it a try. and am smiling to get the chance
  12. I tend to agree. as long as you are fishing and enjoying it, doesn't really matter. do what you enjoy but never be afraid to try something new.
