Pork Jig Trailers
When I used a pork jig trailer for the first time this past weekend I could not for the life of me get the d%mn thing on my hook because it was so tough. Don't know if I'm mentally challenged or something, but what do you guys do to combat this?

Swimming and Flipping a Jig
I recently started using these techniques but I'm having a really hard time detecting strikes. I think I may have got a few but I'm not sure. What does a jig bite feel like when your swimming it? Is it kind of like a t-rig worm bite? What about flipping? Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Question About Fishing License
Yeah, I'm gonna renew it this weekend; I was just curious if this was true or not. It doesn't seem like your boat and truck can be confiscated, maybe just tackle, idk.

Question About Fishing License
I haven't renewed my license yet and my uncle told me that if you get caught fishing without one, all of your gear, your boat, and truck can be confiscated and you won't get it back. Is this true? If not, what's the penalty? I live in FL btw, don't know if the laws for this vary by state or not.

Need woman help.
DUDE, Surely you're kidding. Pick-up lines are so fake and so far from being yourself, honest, and upfront. Tipp, don't use pickup lines. They make good shirts, bumper stickers, and jokes, but I'm sure most women wouldn't appreciate them. Also, Tipp, I saw where you said you wanted a women to "get out of the house." If you are looking for a women to "take you away from that", you are looking for the wrong reasons. You should be seeking a woman for companionship, not for a way out. There is nothing wrong with living with family. More and more young people live with them (at least through college, and college takes longer than 4 years these days). Everyone has offered good advice (except for the pick-up lines, IMO). Take it and go after a girl. You can never catch a fish unless your line is in the water! -Fisher I agree with Fisher of Men. Pick up lines are stupid and I have never used them. Conceited Redneck, that mirror line is funny. Try this one next time though: "There are 206 bones in the human body. How'd you like one more?" That will most definitely receive a SLAP, lol.

High School Basketball Player Dies in Car Crash
This past Sat. the No. 1 high school basketball player in Fl, Dante Anderson, died in a tragic car crash (one other passenger was killed as well, and two others were injured). He was on the varsity basketball team at my school and was named MVP last year in our championship game that we won. The report said that a car passed him and he tried to overtake it by using the median as a passing lane. When he hit the median he lost control and ran into a tree head-on at 60mph (the speed limit was 45mph). It is a terrible tragedy and he will be missed, but it's such an incredibly stupid way to die. I don't understand why anyone in their right mind would do such a thing. Anyway, here are the links: http://www.gainesville.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070520/SUNFRONT/705200332&SearchID=73281778102187 http://www.gainesville.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070520/SPORTS/705200356&SearchID=73281778167111

Good Day On The Water
RedneckRiot27, I always wait a second or two before setting the hook, and it worked today. I think the main way I improved is that I'm no longer afraid to really set it hard. In the past I would just give a little jerk, but now I slam it home. I've also gotten into the habit of setting it a second time (like you mentioned) just to make sure.
-
T rig
I Tex-pose every time. It's the most efficient way to eliminate snags and increase the hook-up percentage.

Good Day On The Water
I finally broke my no-fish streak today. I went to the Suwannee River here in FL and caught five bass on t-rigged Zoom Trickworms. They weren't keepers (they were all about 12in) but it was still fun. What's even better is that I now have almost mastered setting the hook with plastic worms. My percentage today was 71%! Not bad compared to my usual 20-30%.

PLEASE HELP!!!! What Should I Use?
I'm goin out tomorrow morning on the Suwannee River here in FL. I'm thinking I wanna start with a crankbait. Which one should I use? A Rebel Floating Crawfish, or a diving crankbait (I have em in 6-8ft, 8-10ft, and 8-12ft). Any other suggestions for what else I could start with? Conditions are normal, the only thing different is that the river is low.

What Is A Mook?!
Thanks Muddy. Sorry, I haven't been on the forums for a while so I didn't notice that thread.

PORTA-BOAT . NO LAUGHING MATTER
I wouldn't be caught dead in that three-piece jon boat. I could see the three pieces separating and sending fishermen drifting away from each other helplessly.

What Is A Mook?!
I keep seeing this word and I don't know what the heck it means. It's getting on my nerves! Can someone tell me?

Troutfisher's Trivia Game!
I was thinking of a broader temperature range, but that's close enough.

Troutfisher's Trivia Game!
In the South, what water temperatures do bass normally spawn at?

Georgia Wildfires
Anybody experiencing some of the effects of the fires? It's incredibly hazy here in Gainesville, FL, and the smell is pretty noticeable. Hopefully it won't spread too far south. I have some land further north, plus my uncle lives about 5mi south of Georgia.

Sponge Bob square pants bass
Hahahaha, I didn't notice the kid at first either. On another note, Bassamatic, don't take credit for that fish, it belongs to your little helper, lol.

Worm Rattles
Does anybody have some ideas on how to prevent worm rattles from falling out. I tried inserting them on some Zoom Trickworms but they fell out after a few casts. I'm thinking I have to buy a different type of worm?
-
Good Ol' Fashion PLastic WORMS!!!
I fish plastic worms on every outing because they're my go-to bait in every situation. I only use black Zoom Trick Worms, which are great and really cheap too. Only problem is they're torn up after one bass, but I still use 'em anyway (I won't even result to superplastics even though I've caught fish on 'em before). Try them sometime if you haven't already; I think you'll be impressed with your results.

Fishing Golf Course Ponds
Hey guys, I heard that people enjoy great bass fishing in Florida on golf course ponds and being a Florida native myself, I've often wondered how people are able to fish on them. Do you have to ask someone who works on the course if it's allowed? I've never seen anyone do it but I've heard talk that they do.

question is to go college or not go.
Go to college regardless. Even if you get a job that doesn't require a degree, you will still get paid twice as much with one (unless you're an entrepreneur, which in that case would mean you don't need a degree, although it would still help). In today's world, you pretty much need to go to college. I say GO, even if it's a small community college. Plus you'll meet many new people, especially women!!! What better place to meet them than college.

Sad Day Today
That is 100% true. The girls (well mainly just one) are the source of my depressed feelings.
