  1. Went out this week to Loxahatchee Refuge Thursday and Lake Okeechobee on Friday and all I can say is what a difference between the two! Dwight and I were out for a mid morning to early afternoon trip and let's just say the fishing was dismal, went out the next day from 3 to 5:30 to The Lake and absolutely demolished them, once Justin and I tired of catching 1 to 3 lbers (about 40-50) we headed in search of some bigger fish, needless to say our efforts paid off with this big girl that gobbled down a Big EZ, too bad it was my buddy that caught it, but we ended up with this fish and 3 other fish in the 4/5lb class right as the sun ended our trip too early. The Bullet is officially broken in!
  2. There was a mini spawn or attempt at spawning already on the Big O, the big phase will get here very SOON, but as Gotty pointed out cold fronts can quickly make them swim away!
  3. 1. Private Golf Course or Community Lakes 2. Lake Okeechobee 3. Local Canals and Small Public Lakes
  4. If I tell you where, I'd have to kill you or bring you along and may kill you on the way there, still getting use to driving that ROCKET I mean Bullet boat.
  5. Thanks fellows! I have the most of the rods in my quiver already (Champion 733, 734, Avid, and Cumara), not its just a matter of switching things around, I am going to use McCoy mean green in 15lb test with either a Skeet Reese Revo or a Zillion, not sure yet.
  6. Looking to get a technique specific setup for walking the dog with 5/8 oz to 1 oz cigar type baits (Sammy, Bowstick, Zara, etc.) Rod Action, Length, Brand Reel Ratio Line What are you hard core topwater guys using? I was thinking a 6'9' to 7' 0" Medium action with a fast tip in graphite or glass with at least a 6.x to 1 gear ratio.
  7. All Star ASR makes a techniques specific Cranking Rod great bang for buck! ASR866CB or ASR845C
  8. Fish a spro frog on a long, long cast with 832 and let it sit still for about 20 seconds, do the same thing with performance braid and then tell me what you think. I have specific rods setup for specific techniques and discovered the frustration of having the wrong braid on my hollow body frog rod, quickly switched out reels and no problem.
  9. Dude, I am a bit late in posting, but NICE, makes you wonder all those years you've been fishing elsewhere AWESOME!
  10. How do you like the Talon?
  11. Get the Older Chronarch or even a Chronarch B!
  12. 1. Samurai 2. Suffix Performance 3. Suffix 832 (IT SINKS, So no go on Top Water) 4. Power Pro
  13. I bought a Smoke and passed on the Exo and now I am kicking myself, didn't realize the EXO is a tier up! Anyway, love my Smoke reel have been using it regularly and that is coming from a reel elitest (JDM Shimano, High End Daiwas) if you know what I mean, time will tell if the Smoke holds up.
  14. That's funny! Follow the McMillans!
  15. NICE! We went out yesterday on the East side and did fair, nothing great, biggest went 4lbs, but you gotta love it finding some fish when especially with the wind the way it was! Again, find clear to dirty water transition and a roaming school and its ON!
  16. Have not seen any Talons yet, I think you have the advantage of not having pumps. I personally could not use one since I need to lower pole height when backing into garage and Talons are too tall. My Powerpole does the trick, only problem I have is if its really wavy it tends to skip along bottom, but the wave pak system has addressed that. I think Talon is significantly less expensive once you consider cost of Wave Pak, Remotes (although Powerpole is running a promotion now )
  17. Way2Slow, Sometimes when you call a company its a crap shoot on who you reach on the other end. Basically, that representative may not echo what the engineers that designed the Delta Volt system say. With that said I don't think you can go wrong with Quest, Dual Pro, Battery Tender, etc. As you know its all about proper maintenance. Another factor may be liability if Dual Pro says yeah go ahead and leave them plugged in X amount of time without having knowledge of actual battery condition their lawyers may have advised them to say exactly what Jig Man stated.
  18. I have a Dual Pro Sportsman series (3 Bank x 10 AMP/Bank) and I leave it on all the time, one of my batteries is a AGM and the other two are flooded cells, I check them twice a year and have only had to replace a little water in one going on 3 years now with this set of batteries. So if you do your part and maintain the batteries I don't think you'll have a problem with Dual Pro. Although, I have never left my boat unused for more than 3 weeks at a time.
  19. Believe me you can BACKLASH without being a SPAZ, ask Dwight!
  20. Chris, How do you rig your crawlers for bass fishing? Thanks, Robert
  21. Hmmm, I guess you don't realize the importance of the QB position in the NFL, you can have an average to below average defense, decent receivers, and a sub-par running game with a great QB and you have a legitimate playoff chance even a chance at a Superbowl, without one its a lost cause PERIOD (i.e. Colts). I did root for them to win until after about 6 losses than it dawned on me that we had a chance at Luck or a top QB prospect at least, and the future of the miserable Dolphins became clear. Don't fret though Romo will choke when it matters most. All kidding aside though, as an organization losing is never an option and I am sure the players, coaches, and staff would never consider it, maybe management, but they are a different breed.
  22. I would be extremely disappointed if I were a Cowboy's fan, and that is coming from a lowly Dolphin's fan, we blew our chances of getting Andrew Luck too, oh misery!
  23. Bruce, I was out yesterday duck hunting and wish I brought my pole! I had a very similar experience on the East side a week ago most were 2-4lb footballs. If you want to have fun and slay fish you need to get out there and catch'em!
  24. If the BOYS can't beat the lowly DOLPHINS they SUCK!
