I knew it was going to be a battle that is why I predicted Heat in 7. What amazes me is how well the Mavs were playing the entire game and how the Heat hung around playing poorly and went ahead before the complete meltdown. If the Mave run that offense they were running at the end of the game and the Heat think they can get by with jumpers than its Mark Cuban's dream. I still think the Heat has too much talent between Lebron, Wade, and Bosh for the Mavs to stop, but they need to play lights out defense the entire game not start relaxing with a lead in the 4th. I hope the Heat can pull off one win in Dallas and bring it home for 7 games, assuming that the Mavs win two in Dallas. I would like to be entertained and the series is definitively that now after the meltdown, it was looking like a sweep.

I don't think there is a hard and fast rule on what type of rod to use and when, but just general statements. I have used everything from Shimano Cumara reactions, to All Star Big Boys, to my Current Dobys, all in different power and actions. In the really thick stuff the Cumara did not work, in the more open water scenarios the Big Boy seemed to rip to big of holes in smaller fish, so whatever floats your boat. Nevertheless, you are correct about power and actions.

When duck hunting or fishing at night in South Florida I use 3M's Ultrathon repellent and Thermacell. I put the thermacell within arms reach and upwind of me and apply 3M Ultrathon to exposed skin.

Just curious what Bass Resource members think what team will win the finals and in how many games. I only really start watching NBA ball in the post season. I have been a Heat fan since the Rony Seikaly years and I am glad to see that they made it to the finals despite the naysayers. The critics said the Big Three would never play as a unit, the bench is not deep enough to beat the Celtics or the Bulls, Udonis is washed up, Lebron couldn't play well with others, etc. Nevertheless, I think it will be a very tough match-up. Dirk is playing some epic basketball now and will be tough to stop, but so is Lebron and Bosh, Wade has been in a shooting slump, but tends to shine when it matters. Nevertheless, I am picking the Heat in 7. Should be some be a great series to watch!

Slayed'em last night on my local golf courses, caught about 25 with my buddy fishing frogs and lipless, biggest 3 went about 4lbs, my buddy lost a HOSS! Think I may do some fishing up North......WAY NORTH, its just too HOT to fish during the day, also SNOOK fishing is absolutely incredible right now, going out after the holiday weekend coming up.

As a NIGHT fisherman I can tell you that I almost always do better during a NEW MOON, although its easier to fish during a full one.

Ranger trailers have been using them for YEARS and YEARS! Only problem I can see occurring is some type of road debris coming up and knocking out the viewing window and there goes the oil, but the chances of that occurring seem minuscule. If its good enough for long road truckers.......

I have a Cumara and I love it, really nice rod for the money and have broken it twice, returned to Shimano and they replaced it. Both times I broke it while high sticking.

Catt, The darn thing feels like one solid piece of machined aluminum, no vibrations, rattle or flex at all. Wish they made it with a non skid deck with all SS hardware and on a full aluminum trailer, I'd buy one. Wish I could have ridden it in a little rougher water though to really see how she rides, the deep 20 Degree V should help it out, if that thing runs like a Champion in the rougher stuff than all bets are off Skeeter wins!

Demo rode a Skeet FX21 this weekend with a Yamaha VMAX SHO and all I have to say it that it was VERY impressive. I was never a big Skeeter fan and was really going out to see how the Yammy SHO performed compared to the Merc Pro XS my buddy ran on his Stratos. Skeeter has come a LONG way and I was very impressed on the boats SOLID feel when cornering, jumping wakes, and running WOT on pad. The Yammy SHO is incredible, was most impressed with hole shot, I had to ask the demo driver to do it a few times so I could realize that we were out of the hole in literally 50 or so feet. Boat was fully loaded with tank, two 200lb men, and a full tank of gas. Anyway, if anyone is consider buying a boat soon, go ride a Skeeter powered with a Yamaha SHO before making a purchasing decision. A new Triton owner that was on the dock after my ride basically said if he could he would return his NEW ride and buy this boat and he wasn't full of it, cause his Triton was sitting tied up to the dock.

I have used various in my quest for the ONE! From Daiwa's Light and Tough, All Star's Big Boy, Loomis Frog, and now I have a Dobyn's Champion Series. All of the rods excelled, but the Dobyn's balanced better. I used a Zillion and now use a Revo Skeet Reese model, that I love since the drag is incredible and can pull the big girls out of the weeds.

I am headed out this weekend to watch the Elites fish out of West Point. A fishing partner's dad lives up there and its his home lake. Will be there Friday around 3 to catch the weigh-in and most likely follow an contestant and fish Saturday and Sunday. Shoot me a PM if you are going to be there.

Shoot, I thought you meant you caught a 10.89 and were showing us the goods! I don't get it back in high school the lake level was in the mid teens consistently, so what is the difference from then to now, can someone explain it logically?
