Handgun Purchase
Nice gun, I bought a Sig P226 in 40S&W, but I wish I would have bought the darn 9mm since ammo is so cheap, thinking of getting a Glock in 9mm to make going to the range a bit less expensive. Enjoy the gun, and don't take what people say about only taking ball ammo and blow up problems to heart its the exception not the rule. I would say stick to factory AMMO and don't shoot reloads, cause unless you did it yourself and knew what you were doing your taking a risk.

Bass Regulations? Minimum Size? Please help.
Bingo! Some area lakes have different regulations for example on Lake Okeechobee all bass under 18" must be released immediately.

Zillion/Zillion Coastal/Zillion 50th Anniversary
I have a Zillion High Speed Edition and love it, I would say its a bit heavier and not as buttery smooth as a Chronarch, but it is a built like a tank and is has plenty of power. In my opinion, its a toss up at this price point between Shimano Chronarch and Daiwa Zillion. As far as differences between the New Anniversary, the older model SHA, and the coastal edition its negligible. All are saltwater safe, the Anniversary edition has 12 total bearings but the bright red color is sickening. Also, the additional shielded CRBB in the Coastal are longer lasting according to Daiwa in a saltwater environment, but it sure is pretty ;D

2009 Shimano Scorpion XT 1500 (JDM)
Has anyone bought or used one of these? Is it worth the extra $$ over the Curado, thinking of making good use of it on a Flippin Slop stick.

skeet reese rod?
I have handled W&M Tessera Skeet Reese models and they feel...........mmmmmm......heavy to me compared to a similar Crucial, but I don't have a scale or anything to verify. That being said, if your team is in need of a Spinnerbait, Crankbait, or Topwater rods they are reasonably priced and have a nice action. Try to see if you can get them to give you some Falcon Bucoo rods for a similar discount for your worming outfits.

Sunday meet up with KrzKev..12/06/09
Great trip guys! I experienced the same slow bite Sunday morning with my buddy Brett. Fished a local canal and ended up catching 20-30 between us. The biggest went 4 1/2 -5lbs, but the first hour or two to we only managed to boat 3, as the day progressed the bite turned on. Caught a boat load of Oscars though ;D.

a gift---revo S
Boca, I have been hit and miss the Revo's love my Skeet Reese model, I think its because it doesn't have magnetic brakes and hated all 3 of my previously owned Premiers. As someone previously stated the S model doesn't have magnetic brakes so it may be great.

Lox Refuge
No we put in on the North end by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's shooting range, not sure what the road there is called, its parallel to Southern on the South side of the Palm Beach Canal. Water level seemed on the high side still.

Alabama vs Florida who wins it?
Although, my hatred for anything GATOR is right up there, I still can't get over Nick Saban's qoute "I will not be the next Alabama head coach," the guy is a great college coach and leader of boys, but not men and for that reason alone I hope his career is clouded by a loss today.

Lox Refuge
Went out yesterday from 2:30 til 5:30 PM and had a blast. I ended up catching about 8 and my buddy caught over 10 total. My biggest, two pictured, went 4 and 6lbs. Partner had a 4lber and lost a HUGE fish, boat side. Most fish came off a fluke, frog, or T-rig wormed fished parallel to canal banks and in cuts back off the main canal around pump stations. Biggest came of t-rig. Brought these back to release in my canal/pond system.

Stick marsh/Farm 13
I second his knowledge of the area in general, including Ansin Garcia, tight lines. George if you read this, are the bass going into their prespawn feeding pattern yet, tearing up the shad along the canal and ditches in the farm pond area?

Lake Jackson is back
Great to hear that its back! I lived off Miller Landing and across the lake on Little Osprey drive for a few semesters while attending FSU and from 93-97. The fishing was good back then, I would wade fish around Miller landing for weeks until a FWC officer advised me that I was just gator bait :-?. Anyway, I never caught a monster, but could consistently catch 2-5 lbers.

Central FL Walk-in-Water, Crooked, Istokapoga any luck??
My buddy went up to Walk in Water about 2 weeks ago and tore them up, 20-40 fish days. Was primarily fishing lipless lures and t-rigging areas he caught them in, not sure where on the lake, but you should be in the bite right now. His biggest went 8 or so if I recall correctly, most were 2 to 3.

Oct. 29 Fish Story
I haven't been fishing as much as I would like because its been so d..m hot down here that its not enjoyable after about 10:30 AM. Nevertheless, my buddy convinced me to go out to Fellsmere and fish last Thursday. He was still high on catching an 8-12 and wanted to see if he could hook into an aggressive prespawner. We arrived there a bit late, 8:00 AM, but since it was pre time change we only missed Sunrise by 30 or so minutes. I started throwing the old faithful Spro Popper parallel to the bank as we trolled to the main lake and caught a couple of dinks. As we reached a long canal stretch I positioned the jon boat in the middle of the canal so we could cast into the reeds and bring old kermit out from the reeds. My third fish of the day was a WHOOPER! I paused the popping frog about 3 feet from the bank and a vortex opened up underneath the plastic amphibian. As I set the hook on my heavy action Loomis I could tell that I either caught Mr. Mudfish, they tend to hang out in the particular area or Bertha. My first words to my partner were "I can't STOP'em." I thought I might have forgotten to tighten the drag on my black and yellow Revo, but that wasn't the case since I did that as we were loading. So for about 10 turns of the handle all I could manage was to keep the fish about a foot away from the thick reed jungle. She finally turned and swam parallel to the bank towards the stern and we stared at the white of her massive belly! At that point my buddy knew I had a big sow on and reeled his lure in quickly. As I brought her closer I could see feel that anxious feeling you get building "No, don't touch the line!" I muttered to my fishless buddy as he reached for the Samurai braid, she flounder a bit too far for my comfort. I turned the power handle a couple of more times and swept her close enough that Brett's ready hands could grab her jutting jaw. After giving each other high fives we settled down and weighed her. My digital scale fluctuated between 8-14 and 9-2 before finally settling at 9-0! The rest of the day turned out to be a scorcher, but nevertheless we found a pattern on the main lake of fishing road beds with rattle traps and senkos. I landed 10 more and Brett surpassed my total by 3! Life is good ;D!

New PB Peacock!
If fishing freshwater ANY DAY MAN, ANY DAY! Congrats Hawk, I won't call you out on the spot either, but I know where its at . For those of you that are lurkers and want to catch them go to Bass Pro Shops in Dania buy get some saltwater x-raps and rattle traps with spinnerbait blade tails. Have lunch, then drive west on Griffin Road once you past the turnpike start fishing the canal just north of Griffin. Make sure you have a good pair of polarized glasses so you can spot them, work your lure erratically, and hang on once you catch one, by the way you may also catch a Tarpon or Snook there too!

Power on rods is not uniform
I have a Red Bone as a beater pole, they are a bit heavy in action and weight, but are good for inshore saltwater applications. If you have another reel around I'd keep it, but only if I got a deal on it. If you paid close to full retail I'd return it and go to Gander Mountain this weekend, they are have a MEGA sale, hopefully they will actually put some good equipment on sale. This would satisfy you turning in your "man card" and get a "stud card" for upgrading!
