Bad for plastics? (Rage Tail)
I am surprised no one has come to the rescue of our environment. Has anyone at Strike King considered the environmental impact of the extra plastic clam shell? Wait until the federal or local governments gets wind of this, we as fisherman will be taxed for such irresponsible purchasing practices. All joking aside, I picked up a couple of packs of Rage Shads in their new packaging and was impressed. I use to repack all my plastics in different binder zip locks, but now I just throw them in a soft sided tackle box in their original packaging.

Tru-Tungsten worm weight
I have pawned off all my lead weights to my fishing buddy, you can feel EVERYTHING! Add braid and a GLX and you might as well have a camera at the end of your line.

Blood Knot VS. Uni to Uni-Test Results
JKLock, If you have time can you test a No Name Knot/Bristol, on the leader end (flouro or mono) to bimini twist on mainline (braid). Here is a link on how to do it: Here is a link for the bimini: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjrV9gl3OkU You can vary the loop size for freshwater applications, I really never go more than 10-12 turns and use my finger or nail on a board when tying it. If I have the time I use this knot, but on the water uni to uni is what I tie most of the time. It would be great to see how it test.

Best knot for Fluoro?
There was segment on North American Fisherman TV show where they compared knots to each other, if I am not mistaken the Palomar was rated best last year and was beat by the Fish-N-Fool knot. I personally use the Palomar and Trilene Knot when tying to terminal tackle and have only tried the fish-n-fool knot a couple of time with good success. Here is a link where the Miller Knot vs. the Fish-n-Fool: http://www.versuscountry.com/itemdetail.aspx?id=3475

This baitmonkey I keep hearing about...
He's a dumb, made up character whom people blame their spending habits on. I'm probably one of the few people on BR that thinks that he is a stupid fictional character. Just my .02c This guy ^ is like a dad who tell his son before Christmas that Santa Clause didn't exist.

Steve McNair found dead
Another great talent dead. Fact: He was found shot dead in a condo close to his restaurant, a female victim was also found in the same condo with a fatal gunshot wound. Opinions: Theories of why he was shot.

Orlando, Fl
I live in Orlando for about 3 years and found some spots that were pretty awesome right around UCF the UCF area. I believe it was called Innovation Park. Follow Mr. Welcome's advice and tell us about yourself in the intro section of the forum. Nice to have another Floridian on board. ;D

Icast 2009?
I am going to Icast as wholesale buyer, certain exhibitors take pre orders, but retail sales are prohibited. What really is a bummer is that photography and videography are prohibited on the show floor, so I can't share any pics here on the board, maybe someone here has a press pass that allows for that.

Not happy with braid.
I cried when Stren pulled the plug on it , but so far so good with Samurai.

Not happy with braid.
I have had my issues with Power Pro. In my opinion it gets flat spots and frays more easily than other notable brands. That said it is still superior than mono when it comes to line twist issues. Try Daiwa Samurai or Stren's Superbraid if you can, they are IMO much better braids.

Anaconda??
I use the 10" worm to try to keep dinks from hitting. I noticed though that they still do! It drives me crazy because they end up taking only a part of the hefty lure in their mouth resulting in my worm sliding down the hook, and a wasted time resetting the hook. Also, the darn thing is so BIG it limits casting distance due to air resistance, but most of my cast aren't very far with it, so its a non issue. On a positive not, it has some great action and my biggest to date is about a 4lber. I think its a great bait in murky water where its water displacement and action can help Bertha key in on it.

best knot to use for flurocarbon leader???
Is he related to Dirty Sanchez? ;D Uni to Uni works great, saltwater guys use the no-name on leader to bimini twist on braid end. For tying to terminal tackle I like Trilene knot and palomar depending on application.

vicious fluorocarbon
I bought and used a spool of vicious about a year ago. Unless, they have changed something in their production process I can tell you it is HORRIBLE. It had absolutely zero abrasion resistance, was inconsistent in diameter to the touch, and broke easily. Avoid it at all cost. Gerald Swindle may be a pitchman for them, but I highly doubt its what is spooled on his reels

Braid..........its not just for fishing anymore!
Braid is awesome no doubt, from fishing to stitching. My mother-in-law and all her quilting buddies use it all the time. The other day she was asking if I knew where to buy a line dispenser so she could arrange all her braided line, needless to say I was taken back. Only problem is she uses fireline!

As some of you may know I am a Frog fanatic and have gone through them like women go through shoes. So now the bait monkey got together with Tru Tungsten to torment me some more. Check out the article on Tru-Tungsten's new Mad Maxx Frog!

X-Rap
I really don't believe in "rules" when it comes to fishing certain lures at certain times, but it maybe due to my location, S. Florida! Nevertheless, I like X-Raps when fish are active (ie. Pre Spawn, Late Fall) . I have a plethora of jerkbaits and Xraps are just as good if not better than other higher priced jerkbaits, but its nice to have a variety and throw different brands to see what the fish are keying on. They are my go to bait for Peacocks.

Refuse to Use Spincast
A ROD with the right action and length is more important than the reel. I am not stating that the reel isn't important it is, but a medium quality reel mated to the right rod for a particular lure size is better than a top of the line reel mated to the wrong rod. IMO: Best reels: Dawia Pixy Series or Shimano Chronarch MG $400/$200 Best Rod: G.Loomis Drop Shot Casting 820 6'10" Mag-L $250 So for $450 to $650 your casting skills are only limited by your ability not your equipment ;D.
