  1. GREAT! Fish your heart out the next couple of months and keep the momma happy!
  2. OK I need to ad a keel protector, my buddy has an original Hamby on his Stratos and Ranger, but the price of those DIY kits (Keel Shield, Keel Guard, Etc) is tempting. Any input is appreciated.
  3. Nice fish! Bass have been bedding up here in Palm Beach County for a bit. Local golf courses bass are on beds or already out. My local canal system is full of beds, had a fat girl sitting on her bed last Friday, but let her be.
  4. Depends on your fishing waters. For example I'll use a floater when the bluegills are on their beds spawning and I can cast on the outside edge in a bit deeper water waiting for Mr. Bass to AMBUSH Matt's fake bluegill. A sinker would be perfect for bass in deeper waters off points, humps, etc. Solution get both!!
  5. Many forum members have had success with Berkley's new 100% flouro. I have used it and like it, but not on a spinning reel.
  6. I have a light and tough rod, very tough and not so light.
  7. I started fishing on a Skeeter, great boat! I have that same engine and it is strong, 40hours?! Jump on it!
  8. I just bought a 7 ft. med spinner its alright for the price point.
  9. Yeah, it's fake. x3
  10. Where is a good place to buy bearing for my Shimano Scorpion? I would like to get some really nice ones, but if cost is over $40 I will stick to factory ones.
  11. Anomaly, maybe! The knot breaking maybe do to the line issue. Weak line will break prematurely at the knots. Nevertheless, if a perfect knot is tied and the line is in perfect condition it should always break at the knot, unless someone on this board knows a knot that test better than 100% of the line test. If you can get close to 90% or or better than your knot tying skills are good. Was the line exposed to high heat levels? I once had a spool of leader material I left in the truck for ONE DAY over the summer while fishing in the keys and it was worthless, kept breaking way under its test rating. Try a different manufactures flouro leader and repeat your test. I suggest P-Line.
  12. Roller bunks are a waste of money for light rigs. They are also require way more upkeep. WAY MORE!
  13. They work really well, I went through a fluke stage a couple of years back and that I fished them exclusively in a variety of ways. I like fishing them with "superline hooks" to give them more weight or a weighted hook (http://www.***.com/descpageDHOOKDVT-DBSL.html) Have also had success fishing t-rig pegged in thick cover. I like them cause they are weedless and can be worked super slow to fast. They look like a dying baitfish. My favorite colors are green red flake, white, or shad colored. Good luck and tight lines!
  14. On average fish are small there, I have had 30 fish outings and nothing over 2lbs, but believe me there are some big'uns in there! I missed a huge one over 8lbs on a frog of course! Hint, try where the skiers go.
  15. Try it for a week, then trade it in for the Zillion!
  16. Just finished wiping all the rods down, checking the guides and lubing/cleaning my reels. Here is a picture of my quiver ;D
  17. Daiwa reels are simply awesome, I'm sure you will have some Revo fans pick those laggard reels up really quick though in the flea market, and when you do get a zillion!
  18. Bassn I ended up driving the boat to the Flats.
  19. 18" to 36" for me Knots: Uni to Uni Or Bimini on braid to no name knot on flouro side
  20. Ran all the way down to the flats from Southern Blvd Between two boats we ended up catching about 20 total. I caught 5/6 with a 3lb kicker, biggest went 4lbs on a crankbait. Most of the fish were on the flats, although we caught some 5 or 6 on the canal using crankbaits or rattle traps. On the flats I used flukes (shad colored) and spro frog (caught my 3lber on it).
  21. Cleaned my boat yesterday and some of the deck lid gaskets/tubing are falling off, what adhesive should I use to keep them to stay put?
  22. How can anyone at ESPN think that this remotely would be a good idea!? ESPN continues to ruin BASS! Boy, you people never learn. This isn't about ESPN and BASS. : ESPN360.com is only available to certain ISP's. It has absolutely nothing to do with BASS. : : : : : : Doesn't ESPN own B.A.S.S.?
