  1. I hit all the usual spots in Gansett this AM with my cuz. A little bird told me today that I have to head further south. Monster blues and some nice sized bass are abound. Typical tho, I'll get there and then "Ya shoulda been here............." <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

I was flying around the cost of RI on Google Earth looking for my next striper spot when all of a sudden..... Maybe it's an *** for tomorrow.... :-?
  3. Meh, it's only a GL2... nobody else on this board would have picked it up. :
  4. When I need to scrape the ice off the windshield in the morning. Thanx but no thanx. You can find me in hybernation, organizing, cleaning and re-organizing, perhaps building baits and changing out hooks...
  5. My saltwater reels were bound up so I spent a few hours cleaning them. Pretty relaxing. Nice to know they are good to go while waist deep in the suds.
  6. Knock Three Times; Tony Orlando and Dawn.... P.S. I'm still standing up to my $%# in the suds. No snow on the coast!
  7. If it is indeed a strut, make sure you have a left-handed screwdriver for the left one, and a right-handed screwdriver for the right one.
  8. You mean it's possible to catch 15-20 in one day?
  9. 100% agree. With a voltmeter across the capacitor, it should read 1.21 gigawatts. If it reads correct, try hitting 88 mph and see if the problem goes away.
  10. My mother-in-law belongs to this organization in RI. http://www.pawswatch.org/ Maybe there's something similar where you live.
  11. ;D Leaving the house right now to hit it again! 30mph winds and big surf. Looking for more "Tyler sized" fish... or maybe bigger?
  12. Yup. Standing on the rocks in 4-5 foot surf. Today looks to be even worse, supposed to blow 30 mph. Bring it on!
  13. 3 oz Gibbs Danny. Yesterday was the first day with this plug. I learned quickly that it needed to dig a bit deeper, so I bent the line tie up slightly. Now it runs about 6-8" below the surface. The fish absolutely hammered it. Tossed it out maybe 75/80 yards, reeled up the slack as fast as I could turn the handle, waited for it to dig, then started the slow retrieve. When it got halfway through the whitewater out front, the hit came! That 10'6" Loomis and Daiwa Emblem with 400 yards of 50# Powerpro really launches it out there. But as we know, most of the fish are in tight to the rocks. Still cool to send those big woods out there. The Danny isn't any bigger than the Working Girl, but it's through wired. Think the screws would pull out?
  14. While I am not typically a fan of "tailgate" or "driveway" shots, I will share my catch today. Was ready to go early this morning, but decided to stick around the house for a little while to have some quality family time. Left the house at 8:30, by the time I got my gear on and got to my spot it was about 9:45. Big swells and 25mph winds didn't scare the white bucket brigade away. On my 4th cast with the yellow/white Danny, I hooked into a 33" bass. I had no intentions of keeping the fish. When I went to revive it, I thought the guy next to me was gonna tackle me. I tried for a few minutes, but the fish wouldn't come around, so as to avoid an ugly situation with my neighbor, I packed up and left. I kept one at the beginning of the season, and I will keep this one towards the end. Heading back tomorrow, hopefully for some Catch and Release action.
  15. Nice clean looking fish from the river!
  16. Made out real well today. Left late (8:30) got to my spot around 9:45 once I got all my gear on. 4th cast into the suds, FISH ON! Pack up and head home. 8-) 33"
  17. Sunday from 8-3? I'll be down at Hazard Ave most likely.... or anywhere from Monahan's to Black Point....
  18. What's "live bait"?
  19. Spare yourself the frustraion and fish some where else. ;D ;D ;D Totally. Sewer Trout are not my cup of tea....
  20. Had a blast standing in the surf up to my @!%. Hit SoCo for 4 hours, no fish anywhere. Had a great time, heading back out tomorrow.
  21. Man that's gotta itch. Imagine not having opposable thumbs to try to get to that! :-?
