  1. We're fishing early Saturday morning, but it's in front of a lighthouse.....
  2. I can never view those vid's of yours. But the Area 51 I'm talking about has golf balls whizzing by! Bring a helmet...that is of course, if you survive the 300 yard decent through the bowling ball sized rock field. Don't know what was worse... getting down, or getting back up.
  3. 8-) Here's the link to my thread on Reef Central if anyone is interested. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=770710&perpage=25&pagenumber=1
  4. Thanx. I built that entire room in the basement by myself. Took 16 months...
  5. Alan, I can relate. Lost a monster in the middle of the night on a jig. Pulled drag like a ten pound bluefish, then jumped about 10' out from the boat and shook the jig out. One of the hazards of night fishing. Probably a good thing that we didn't see the fish. I sat there for about an hour trying to regain my composure. The sting goes away...only takes a 7.5 to make you forget. ;D 8-)
  6. Rick C, fall 2007 at Area 51... dodging golfballs.
  7. I got rear ended on the Beltway at over 60mph. I had just bought my truck three days earlier and was on my way down to Ft. Lauderdale. That place is a zoo. :
  8. I don't fit into either group..so I may have to be a neutral party.... 8-)
  9. Hey, If I stand sideways and stick out my tongue I look like a zipper! ;D 6'0" 155lbs built for speed baby! 8-) 8-) 8-)
  10. Try keeping up with the UPS man all day. No wonder I'm a toothpick....
  11. No thanx...I'm all set. ;D How about this one: "Excuse me, what time is it?" Me: "Why, it's 10 of." "Um...what?" Me: "It's 10 of... as in 10 minutes of 2... or, 1:50" ;D Apparently, in RI we are the only ones that say "of" when referring to the clock. Seems like most everyone else says "til"
  12. HAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! Good stuff right there! I'm all set: While not a strictly Rhode Island phrase, this declaration that you require no assistance may still get you quizzical looks in some other parts of the country. Had this happen many, many times....
  13. Go buy some black ones, make sure they are 9".
  14. When the red car had the 342 and the small Procharger (F1R) it went 8.18 @ 168 (on radials) to set the new national record in NMRA Drag Radial. First car in the "teens". On slicks with an F2 it went 7.87 @ 184. The car was built by myself and my friend Eric. He drove it and tuned it, I crewed on it. We traveled all over the country for 2 years. We were fortunate enough to have a pretty good financial backer that wanted to get back into racing, otherwise it would have been impossible. C16 as of today is $10.50 a gallon out here. The car ended up costing about $90,000 without our labor included. The grey car is my street car, makes 560 rwhp and it's run 11.30's @ 124 on radials. I just haven't had time in the last two years to get back and try to break into the 10's. The closest track to us in in NH and it's 2.5 hours away.
  15. Some of my other hobbies....
  16. WORD I had more of an appreciation for "Inside Out"
  17. They live in Cali, what do you expect? Seriously tho Biz, awesome pics! Great report. 8-) If I had to drive 5 hours to go fishing I'd be in Pennsylvania! ;D
  18. Oops, should have prefaced with "I'm staying close to home" Might hit "The place down the street" for some jet fuel bass. The front tires are coming undone on my truck so I'm a little apprehensive about going more than a few miles at a time.
  19. I agree with the air temp being a factor. This was last November 11th in Rhode Island. Breezy and about 40* if I recall. I'm about all set right around then.
  20. Hoping to be on the water around 2pm.... had a bunch of stuff to take care of this AM.
  21. A Bandit 200 is not huge. Check this out to see what a Largemouth will try to eat. 8-) http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1221127130
  22. Gear is in the eye of the beholder I guess. Last weekend I took my cousin out for some time away from the house. He proceeded to outfish me by putting 6 fish in the boat with a 15 year old ugly stick and a $10 Shimano reel. Then again, somedays it's all about getting the guy in the front on some fish. You gotta do what you can afford, and still have fun. 8-)
  23. I've tried a few different brands. So far my favorite (hollow) is the Berkeley.
