The topwater bite is gone here. I've been hoping it will turn on, but it's just not there. I mean, it's the middle of July already.... :-/

I have a few bags collecting dust.

Went through the same thing with my Mustang. Was heavily involved in a club that Rick and I founded. Went to New England Dragway every weekend. Working at the race shop 100 hours a week, traveling the country with the Outlaw car...just got burnt out... it's easy to do. 8-)

I fell asleep in the boat two weekends in a row. I typically get home from work at 8pm. Dinner by 9pm, then shower and bed by 10-1030. Then I have to get up at 2am so I can leave in order to pick up my buddy Rick by 330 in order to be on the water by 4. So yes, I can see getting burnt out. Our season is so short that I try to take advantage while I can. Are you burnt out of fishing in general, or just T's? I like to hit the surf once in a while to mix it up. Nothing like throwing 4oz plugs with a 10'6" rod ever once in a while.

The same comment circulated around the room a few times while we were watching the end. Well, I must admit that my view on Johnson has softened a bit since Dale went to the evil empire. :-/ I don't even cuss Gordon anymore when he's on TV. :-? You're slippin' :-?

The last two years I've been using Yo Zuri Ultrasoft #6 on my spinning gear. If we're ever on the water at the same time/place you are more than welcome to give it a shot. It's on my Sol/Carrot combo.

Do you need "clean sweep" to come in and make a "keep pile" and a "get rid of pile"? I didn't realize how many jigs were torn up, missing skirts, weed guards missing etc. I just tossed a bunch in the trash. I feel better now.

Solid 4-4.5lber for New England. Way to go! This time of year they almost always look bigger than they really are. So many times I've caught some big looking fish, only to weigh them and come up as 3 or 3.5 when they look like 4's and 5's. (And yes, the scale is accurate )

The old or the new or both stradics? Mine is the symetre. It is the most expensive spinning I have and the most I care to spend on a spinning reel. Unlike casting reels, $79 buy a whole lot of spinning reel. ;) Both my Stradics are the old style. I know they are in different price points, but I got the Sol off ebay for $130 brand new in the box.....
