Falcon boxes=awesome!
Just got the Terminal Tackle and Jig box. Ah, organizational bliss. I highly recommend. Now I realize how badly I need to replenish the terminal tackle...starting to run low! 8-)

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SPINNING REEL
My Daiwa Sol is an absolute joy to fish with. The drag is smooth as silk...blows away my Stradics..

Boats & Guns
I carry two large concealed knives. Each can be opened with one hand in a nano second. I prefer stabbing instead of shooting....just me.

carrot stix
Yes, only on my spinning rod did I have that problem. Diagonal cutters and a file fixed it. I personally think the guides are fine. Don't know what all the fuss is about.
-
Love the Carrot, but now I got an issue with it.
Both of mine have been through the ringer so far. Sure they're starting to show some wear, but that just adds character. They are still the most comfortable rods (for me) to fish with.

New PB today during lunch
I heard a rumor that there were some decent fish in there....

Thinking about a Carrot Stix spinning rod, would like advice.
Because, up here in R.I. when you say inshore, I automatically think 5-8 lb schoolie stripers, and 10 lb bluefish. Why bring the proverbial knife to a gunfight? The medium is way to soft in my opinion. I like it for fresh, it handles the 4lb class LMB just fine... Also, I would pick the 7' M St Croix Premier instead. For the same money, it would be nice to be able to throw 2oz lures 8-)

I have a medium spinning carrot. It's pretty soft. I only use it for soft plastics. I would not recommend it for inshore salt water. I'm actually looking at a St. Croix Premier for an inshore rod. $160 8-) http://www.stcroixrods.com/rods/default2.asp?rodname=37§ion=salt

Ever do this? PART II--Nightime set up-video(s)-funny
Cool cool. If I go Saturday it will be solo, considering hitting the surf since the new Loomis will be in on Tuesday. The urge to catch Stripers is strong again 8-)

TELL ME WHY
I think Ike would disagree.

Need a rod for jigs
I use a 6'6" Johnny Morris Signature rod, MH with a fast tip, and a Shimano Stradic 2500. I also use a 6'9" E21 Carrot Stick MH Fast and a Revo SX.
-
Jig Help Needed.
The rod is about 99% of the equation. In my humble opinion.

My thoughts on the Berkley Hollow Bellied Swimbait vs Strike King Shadalicious

Question on drag
Instead of electrical tape, I prefer to use "friction tape". It is essentially vinyl electrical tape but coated with rubber on both sides. Works like a charm.... Don't tell anyone. http://products3.3m.com/catalog/us/en001/auto_marine_aero/aerospace/node_GS4YL03HCMgs/root_GST1T4S9TCgv/vroot_GSNNJ6NQDKge/bgel_GSNYN6WYRFbl/gvel_3R0J9QPN38gl/theme_us_aerospace_3_0/command_AbcPageHandler/output_html We used to use it on our hockey sticks...
