  1. For the high rollers out there... http://cgi.ebay.com/08-Shimano-Fireblood-FBL-2500FA-2500-FA-Spinning-Reel_W0QQitemZ200230425327QQihZ010QQcategoryZ36147QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247
  2. I had a brand new spool (as in it was spooled up 2 months ago) of 12# on my Revo SX. Fishing with Tin today, and for the first (and last) time, the Ultrasoft let me down. Made a nice long side arm lob with the baitcaster (with the Berkley paddletail) and about 15 yards out the line breaks in mid cast. No specific reason, just snapped. Also, I've heard talk of this line having "braid like memory". But, after repeated uses of KVD, and even running the line through a rag soaked in KVD when it was spooled...these are the results: I'm considering taking the Ultrasoft off the spinning reel too....
  3. That's ice....and no, it's not the first time. :
  4. Caught a few rats today with Tin between 10am and 2pm. Flipping docks and pads. Caught one on the second cast with the Berkley paddle tail.
  5. Sounds like Post Spawn Blues.... That's fishin'
  6. Awesome! Little guy looks psyched!
  7. Much like cars...these product names just keep getting more and more laughable.
  8. Alan, I have been keeping fish for 20 years. The last ten have been spent in salwater/captive reefs. The one thing that I've found to be safe for aquatic life, but works well as a cleaner is white vinegar. Maybe a mild bleach solution followed by a dechlorinator?
  9. You would think the bed would rot off before the frame went. Like the Toyota's used to. It's also amazing because my neighbor tows his Ranger (boat) with his Ranger (truck). I might have to leave a note on his truck about this. On Tins truck it broke right behind the leaf spring shackles. I have a '98 F150 and the frame still looks brand new. 134,000 miles.
  10. And people think my carrot stix are ugly...... :
  11. I hear ya man. Good to spend time with the kids. We have to leave early so the kids don't get upset because they can't come. Today I went out with Tin for a few hours and we caught a few in 4" of water. Doesn't make any sense at all. I literally put my hand in the water and it didn't reach my watch. 96 degrees today. I picked a good week for vacation. Perhaps try going after dinner. Evening fishing around New England can be fantastic.
  12. What state are you in? FWIW we start at 4am at the latest this time of year. We stayed until noon last Sunday and had 16 fish in the boat. Pulled a nice 3lber out of 6" of water in the midday sun.....
