I've seen Tim's car run..it's insane. He runs 10.5 Outlaw, we were racing in Reynolds, Georgia and he was there. Super nice guy. I think Steve Petty built a 620 cubic inch motor for it if I remember. I can only comment on my E21 LTX 6'9" MH with a Fast tip...works great for a 3/4oz football jig. It'll throw from 1/4 to 3/4oz... I also throw lighter stuff, like 1/8 and 1/4 oz plastics on my 6'7" LTX spinning rod.

Had on 5 layers today, plus a layer of Gore Tex....

I'm not an expert.....however..... Did it break at the knot? What knot are you using? Also..I have yet to see an "invisibraid" I have a feeling there is something else at fault here. I fished Yo Zuri Ultrasoft 8# for the entire season last year and it never once. "snapped" In fact, I straightened out a few hooks trying to free some jigs, and hauled a few good sized limbs to the surface.....

6'9" LTX MH/F casting with Revo SX 3/4oz football jigs, 1/2oz traps, 1/2oz spinnerbaits. Works amazing, even today in the 20-40mph gusts. 6'7" LTX M/F spinning with Daiwa Sol 2500 all finesse plastics, shakey heads, drop shot, and lighter jigs.

Now's the time to throw one! I like in no specific order Strike King red eye shad Yo Zuri Rattlin' Vibe Cotton Cordell Super Spot Bill Lewis Rat L Trap (although the hooks are garbage) Rapala's Rattlin Rapala Some are louder than others. The Yo Zuri in my opinion puts out the most noise. You can hear it from the boat.
