  1. I can't catch a fish on an Ika to save my life. I would rather throw an 1/8 oz jig first, maybe that's my problem. Everyone seems to love the Ikas so much that I bought a few packs, but they just don't produce for me....even tried them today, when nothing else was working. just my .02. :-?
  2. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt! :-? Moved to Tampa right out of high school. Took the Greyhound bus from Providence, RI to Tampa. After being on the road for almost 3 days, I get to the bus station in FLA, get a cab at 2am and the cab driver won't bring me to where I'm supposed to go. You see, I had this genious friend that moved down there a few weeks earlier to find us a place. Turns out he ended up in one of the worst ghettos in Tampa. Made me a stronger person that's for sure. Not to sound negative, but when you are the only two white kids in the entire neighborhood, you tend to get hassled alot by the locals....got robbed more than once, had bricks and chunks of cement thrown through the windows...(still have one to this day to remind me) Good time, good times... Good luck...
  3. I absolutely HATE winter. You would be hard pressed to find someone who hates New England winters as much as myself. Wish we could afford to move back to Florida...when the doldrums hit, I veg out with some SOCOM, or whatever...
  4. Either a 37" or 42" Samsung LCD TV to compliment my PS3. Some kind of couch/loveseat/futon, some lounge chairs, a toy box for our sons stuff. Playing by ear right now...paycheck to paycheck.
  5. Thank you Only took me 18 months to finally get it done. Did EVERYTHING myself, except for installing the carpet. Now, more Ikea trips to finish furnishing the kids room (mantown)
  6. True, Peacock Bass are from the Cichlid Family
  7. Raul, that's a ton of life stuffed into a 20g! If anyone one is interested.......http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=770710&perpage=25&pagenumber=1
  8. Catching Oscars in South Florida is easy. Just need to throw a rooster tail in the 'Glades somewhere... ;D ;D This was back in '99.
  9. Wow! Packard Bell! Old Schoool!
  10. Had Oscars and other Cichlids from the time I was 10 up until 20. Went to salt water reefkeeping 12years ago. The Cichlids are pretty low maintenance, great advice from everyone here. The only real thing they are prone to is "hole in the head disease". Seems to be most common when they are fed live goldfish. Other than that, keep a brick on the cover, because they can jump. Lost my oldest one that way...came home one night, he was dried up on the floor like a potato chip. Very sad, he was about 8 yrs old. I was a fan of the Jack Dempseys and Red Devils too, very personable fish. Good Luck! Matt

  21. Yes, its a SEC thing, GO Vols Not sure what you are wanting to do, but if it was me and i knew the driver, with some of the family members and friends that i have that are either state troopers or county cops. He would be pulled over, harrassed to the point he thinks he going to jail and then be given a thank you card for delivering my Vols Tickets We aint' got time for that! We got work to do!
  22. ;D Ahhh, good times. I can have the crappiest day, and still get a good laugh out of this when I come home. Just a FWIW, Andrews father took off when he found out my sister was pregnant. Sooo, it's basically me and my sisters trying to raise him. I'm really the closest thing he has to a father figure. Gotta love those dead beat dads... >
  23. Watching the kids wade the hatchery corridors was cool! I had a great time, glad I had cleared my schedule for this one!
  24. you're right. and the new macs run on intel chips....meaning you can have two computers is one. you can load XP and run it as a PC. And it's not a virtual PC, it's a true PC running all your PC junk. But the real beauty is on the Mac side. Unbelievable OS with great out-of-the-box software. Make movies, DVD's, manage all your digital assets, etc. Give it a try, I bet you'll love it. No Windows or MS software for me thanx!
  25. I left the PC world behind and went Macintosh. What a difference. I have seen the light!
