Completely agree. My original stainless 30 oz has been with me literally every day since they debuted. I have not had to deal with their customer service yet but I hear very good things. I'm excited to put it to work!

Cooler Talk!
I'm currently awaiting delivery of my first Yeti cooler! Should be here Tuesday. I know the forum rules let's keep the NRA stuff out of it, please. I have a few other Yeti, RTIC, Ozark, and Pelican products that I have been very happy with. I was able to get the $249 Tundra 35 for $199 thanks to the military/first responder discount program they have, so that was greatly appreciated. Honestly, I have the income, and didn't want to settle. I didn't mind spending the extra $100 to get the bad arse cooler I've always wanted. Anybody reading this care to chime in on their favorite cooler and why? Any Yeti Tundra owners out there? What size works best for your fishing needs?

Anyone go leaderless?
I typically tend to use leaders only on my main spinning rig. I use 10# high vis yellow power pro with usually 6’ of 8# mono. The alberto knot is a piece of cake to tie once you get the muscle memory down for the wraps and it’s super strong. I know by definition it is, but I’d hardly call it a weak point. I honestly don’t view the leader as as inconvenience. I usually don’t tie leaders on my couple rods that have low vis green power pro.

Muskies...why you love 'em...or hate 'em...
I have the same mindset. If you buy into the hype it's exhausting and expensive. Plus, I get to true "muskie waters" twice a year maybe? I've tangled with a few on the Fox fishing for bass though. I've had 3 fights this year and landed 1. They've all come on various moving baits in my smallie arsenal. So, if in the end I get the occasional surprise muskie, I'm alright with that. I agree with the original post though. Still smiling typing this haha!

Wisconsin Driftless?
Anybody ever been to the driftless? Any trout people on here? Care to share an experience?

Line question for two reels.
Yeah I see that browsing the internet haha! What a conundrum.

Line question for two reels.
So if you fish stained water you tie moving baits right to high vis line?
-
Line question for two reels.
So with that theory I coooould use high vis and just tie on a leader when i want to switch to a moving bait. I wade a lot and only bring one rod.

Line question for two reels.
Thats basically what I was thinking. I mostly fish stained rivers and end up with slack in my line from time to time which is why i tried the yellow. After i cast (and looking at trees during the cast) i completely lose where my bait is at.

Line question for two reels.
Hey everyone. Thanks for checking out my question. I have two spinning combos. M, and ML. I have 15 pound yellow power pro on one, and 10 pound yellow 832 on the other. I just wrapped up a day of fishing comparing the two. My question is, would you run high vis on both reels? I typically run a leader anyway (alberto knot). I usually run small texas rigs on the ML for smallies, and if I go to a moving bait I use the M. Should I go v2 onyx or low vis green on one of them? Any thoughts?

What is a popular opinion you disagree with?
I ALMOST FORGOT! “I only catch fish on crankbaits burning them across rocks on river bottoms.” Yeah, ok. 1) Crankbaits have never failed me in open water. They don’t NEED to be bashed off structure. 2) Any time anything of mine with a treble hook touches my local river bottom its gone. I don’t even TRY this tactic because I know it’ll end with me rage quitting.

Best small and light baitcaster?
My 7:1 shimano citica is my favorite casting reel. You can probably find them for around $120 these days. Super smooth, casts a mile, and the handle is very comfy. I also have small hands. Feels great to hold.
- Sensitive and (somewhat) versatile casting rod?

Anyone have a great combo that just hurts your hands?
That's why I didn't buy the LTB in spinning. However the redesigned LTB casting rods are the most comfortable rod I've ever used.

Tell us about your wading bags!
Good stuff! The 2019 freestone is the one I just got. It's the one between the tactical and backpack versions for $139. Little more than I thought I'd pay but the tax man was great to me this year. I love it so far.

Which one do you have? I have been loving mine!

Anyone have a great combo that just hurts your hands?
Completely agree about the eyecon! Top 3 for sure.

Anyone have a great combo that just hurts your hands?
I'm weird as I prefer full cork for spinning rods. I just think the regular avid works better than the avid x with that reel because it felt a bit slimmer and easier to hold. And I have small hands anyway. For what its worth it's my favorite spinning combo. End up using it the most.

I have the same reel on a 6'6 ML avid. What I noticed with that specific reel is it is a bit chunky where it connects to the rod. I hope that makes sense. More "hump like." So partner that with the reel seat on the avid x, and you're probably dealing with some out of the ordinary ergonomics. I love my ci4 on my avid. Put it on an avid x at the store, didn't like it. You're not alone.

Tell us about your wading bags!
That was the bag I used last summer! The cool part about that bag is the two velcro straps in the back can hang on your wading belt, taking some weight off your shoulder.

Shimano
My favorite casting reel I have is my citica, and my favorite spinning reel is my stradic ci4+. Nuff' said!

When to respool?
Big game is my backing line. Havent had much luck with it on the frontlines. But maybe its just me.
