A GLX is a great option. The MB OneTen Special is special though. I like the MB OneTen the most then Legend Tournament followed by the GLX and Expride. Like GReb stated, Megabass and Shimano/Gloomis have a great following and hold there value among the best. Can't go wrong here. A lot of good rods.

Personally, I would go with the OneTen Special. I love the Oneten Special. It's surprising way more technique adaptable than I thought. It can handle topwater, jerkbaits, small crankbaits, and even bottom contact baits. Sensitivity wise it is very impressive. It is definitely more sensitive than the Levante and XX. It's one if not the most sensitive rods I own. I will not go fishing without it. Its on my boat year round. However, I have the Jerkbait Special in the Levante and its awesome too. I chose it over the XX. Sensitivity on the Levante is good and a great rod and performs way above its price point. But overall, I'd lean toward the OneTen Special based on versatility for its amazing sensitivity. But if you prefer just a jerkbait/topwater definitely go with the Levante as it's a great value.

Agreed! Especially since Trapper owns the Diable Spec R already. The Spec R will be able to handle to smaller jigs and texas rigs and the FMJ will be able to do the bigger jigs/texas rigs. I think that's perfect. The FMJ definitely is amazing and has really good power for pitching jigs. The NRX 853C, GLX 844C/854C, and Megabass FMJ are the rods I use and they are awesome for my jigs.

I would definitely get a Oneten Special or 6'10 Expride. They are amazing rods and surprisingly very versatile.

After looking carefully at it. It doesn't appear to have turned colors, I believe it's the bad lighting in the background that makes it look that way. The braid is offered in the Stealth Gray color and is phenomenal braid. I would like to know how the OP used the braid. We have many other members with no issues whatsoever.

Yikes. My stomach drops when I see this. Its a very familar feeling to me. Recently, I stepped on a KVD 1.5 and it was not fun.

I have had similar experiences of the other members. I was fishing in West Point Lake.
