Holy Product Pimp Batman!! I'll wait for some reviews on that one.....the Berkley bait reviews have been pretty positive so trying that one next.

Rapala glass shadraps
I'm thinking those might do good in the drought clear lakes in the SE. You know the ones that are clear due to lack of rain......like Wylie...... Those kinda clear baits should work.....in theory. I may have to stock up....get down thee monkey.

Mattlures Baby Bass - Got a Few Questions
One more question. Every try to fish em a little deeper?....like letting them drop to the bottom in 25 ft of water and then reeling back?

Mattlures Baby Bass - Got a Few Questions
Good stuff. Thanks for the responses. I guess if a bass sees an easy meal...they won't be thinking about if it makes sense. I need to remember about the megastrike..... On the line...I'm going to use 14lb Sunline MGC myself. That would probably be the lower range of a good pound test....I'd imagine.

Mattlures Baby Bass - Got a Few Questions
I took the plunge at the Bassmaster Classic Expo and got 4 of em. I heard this is a good starter swim bait. I have a couple other swimbaits but want to catch some big uns with this bait. Logically, seems like these would work best after the bass spawn...like June. What are the best months to use these baits?? What is the optimal depth to run these and approximate rate of fall? And any techniques would be appreciated. Thnx

have you ever used a ms slammer?
I got a 9 inch black version off ebay. Can't wait to try it....especially for night fishing during summer. I might give it a whirl during the day in the spring just to check it out..... Huge smallies. Looks like a good bait for them.....

if you had to spend 10 more dollars on tackle warehouse.....
Something you can't get locally...... Another Steez.....good one. ;D

Dicks sporting goods.
They carry a few things that BassProShops doesn't. Such as Roboworms+a Yamamoto bait....fat Ikas+Daiwa Peanut. At least in my area. I wish one of these stores would start carrying more swim baits.

spot remover question
I like zoom finesse + trick worms ..... sometimes a roboworm. I prefer a floating type worm + green.

Fourbizz or any other swimbaiters

I had a day of "Firsts" yesterday...
Senkos work great in small water such as a pond or canal. Stick with them and you will love them.

Strike King Rage Tail Shad?
I kinda consider them a soft plastic buzz bait. I tried them once briefly in the fall, gonna try them again this year for sure. The night fishing idea is a good one....

Bass Majic
I'm going to try cutting a slit in the bottom so the bait doesn't get scrunched up from the hook. I have some weighted owner 4/0s and a 5.5 inch bait. I read somewhere that it works. We'll see.....

Abu Garcia 911 commemorative reels
Limited number and there are lots of Abu fans out there so yes, I'd say they would go up in value. Might be able to go directly to ebay if you wanted.

Anybody sucessful with chatterbaits?
now thats an idea speaking of which I have much more succes doing something like that than using it with the skirt and all. This is my baby here:It is a berkley realistix power minnow.Killer lure.Take my word, they crush this thing. The regular ones work for me just fine in NC. I like white/chartruese. Man, I love that minnow on there. Do you have to glue it at all or does it stay on like that? I had an idea to put a 5.5 in basstrix type swimbait on one to see how it swims. We'll see.....

New for 08
Good call on that one.....that would be sweet.

One rod to rule them all?
Clunn is the man. He spoke of being in the fishing "zone" during a Bassmaster Classic. I was like...I know about being in the zone for a sport like basketball or maybe golf ..... but fishing??? That blew my mind. I think you can get away with the same rod for almost all applications ... except cranking. You almost need a soft tip for that. Being a weekend warrior, I like my variety and it increases the enjoyment. If I was a tourney angler, I'd maybe attempt that one type rod theory.

How Would You Fish These???
i fish em weightless. good action. can't wait to break em out this spring. might try that split shot thing. do you just put a split shot a foot above the weight?

Kinami vs Yamamoto
Difference is ..... if you have $5 in your pocket, you get the Kinamis and less # of baits. If you have $6.50, you get the Yamamoto and get more baits. I use them both cuz they catch fish..... I can't tell the difference except for some colors.

Megabass - Wow!
I love realistic looking lures. Something about the detail on the japanese lures is just awesome. Hey, at least you can look at it for a few months before you use it......

Best/Favorite Non Basstrix Paddletail Bait?
Nah man. Can't get my hand on any of those?...so wanted to see if there were any good alternatives. I used 1/8 oz Mustad weighted hook....... Thnx

Best/Favorite Non Basstrix Paddletail Bait?
I tried the Luck E Bass Magic. The tail didn't wag too well so wasn't impressed too much, it kinda wobbled...the whole bait that is. What are some other paddle tails that folks like on this board?? I need to get me some with good tail action before the spring..... Thnx
-
Bass magic
I didn't have good luck with them. The whole lure would wobble instead of just the tail. Either the water was too cold at 52 degrees or I had it rigged wrong. I used a weighted owner hook but barely got the tip of the hook thru the body. But they do look good..... Curious to hear from other folks who have used it......

Favorite Baitcaster
Steez with my Pixy being a very close second and my Z being a very close third.

My 1st IMX
You can kinda transpose your experience to higher end tackle in general. Fishing is a pleasure with good equipment....especially the "good stuff". It's all about the journey sometimes.....
