  1. Women, tail up. Grubs, tail down.
  2. All of them! Or often times none of them. Hmmmm.
  3. If it's good enough for the fish it's good enough for me! Need two boxes then.
  4. That "USA Company" is pretty funny. Looks like something you'd see in a translated description from Korean or Chinese on Amazon. "You buy now USA company big fun!"
  5. Punching more at the Delta. Drop shot at the Delta. Yakking the Delta. And maybe jerkbaits. At the Delta.
  6. I have a "Bending Branches" paddle but I bought it when I was in a "paddle only" kayak. I keep that in my pedal drive yak now, along with a tiny one-handed paddle I made. I've only used the big paddle to get through thick vegetation, and a few times while standing. I go entire days without touching it.
  7. Shorter list for me would be baits I have caught them with.
  8. I like the fish but not the font I think one of the site sponsors in the right margin needs a serious logo update. Can I say that?
  9. I probably found it! But really, my Dad's house is in a cove and we have found several kayaks and a canoe floating into the area. We end up parking them on top of our dock or the neighbors so the owner can see it later. Neighbor still has a nice canoe though that nobody has claimed. The wind blows them in, and some debris too. Oh and, perhaps not surprisingly, I catch a lot of bass right there too! In fact it's the best spot I've found so far.
  10. South Africa is not Nigeria guys.
  11. I used to use my little Swiss Army knife. My Dad got it for me in Switzerland 40 years ago. I like it because it has scissors! But it doesn't have pliers. So I got a cheap multi-tool so I could have all-in-one. Pliers, blades plus scissors. I keep it on my belt. I also added braid scissors, one of those $3 child size ones.
  12. No. I think a few people have influenced me but not on specific products: Greg Blanchard unknowingly got me into kayak fishing. Watching Brendan Miller make a plastic mold out of plaster of Paris got me to try making my own plastics. I'd say Glenn has been a big influence because I've watched so many of his videos. I have bought most of my rods and reels based on members' advice here at BassResource. Thanks to all! Oh the Googans showed me how to cast off the top level of a parking garage, though I haven't tried it. Actually I must admit, one of those guys (1Rod1Reel) got me into exploring new places for bank fishing awhile back. He's a spaz but I watch him sometimes. Brendan Miller likes to explore too and isn't afraid to target different species.

I use a Ziploc freezer bag. Fits in backpack and my kayak crate, or under the seat.
  14. Zoom Speed Craw. Not sure about UV.
  15. Yum Dinger, probably green pumpkin. 5.2 pounds at night in my Ride 115 yak. Coming in at 2nd place, Yum Dinger GP again, 4.25#. Caught 50 feet from the above fish, 2 weeks later. Could have caught them both from my Dad's dock. Got this from the new OT PDL 106 yak.
  16. I have never been in my kayak or a boat and thought, "Man I wish I were fishing from shore instead!"
  17. That looks like an Edge box I'd like. Not sure about some of the others. There's an 18 inch (at least) jerk bait looking thing hanging above the cash register in a Fish n Chips place by my house. Thought about offering the guy money so I could hang it up. I've always wondered if it was real, I thought it was just a sales prop.
  18. Found this older thread when searching for reviews...I wonder if anyone else has changed their mind after a season of use? A few people on review sites mentioned stabbing themselves with hooks sticking through the holes.
  19. You could have ended the post with the bolded part. That was 100% his mistake. I understand what you mean though because it is a 100% certainty that you would lose in a collision. Guess I'm stating the obvious. Glad you're okay, that's scary. I have an air horn, I wonder if he would have even heard it? We can only pedal so fast. What else can kayakers do in such a situation?
  20. I've known flakes of all colors and creeds.
  21. Try here maybe:
  22. Yes but I didn't pay for the marriage, and the divorce was amicable and cost less than $1000 (and no alimony, though I bought her a MacBook some months later)!!! My Old Town Kayak cost more than the divorce (not counting the computer haha) and will last much longer! That's my baby now! If I ever marry again it will be to a woman who says, "Yes, I believe a large down payment on a home is a better idea than blowing it so friends can go to a wedding they really don't want to attend" And if she says "bass boat" instead of "home" I will ... okay time to wake up, Mike.
  23. I can't believe people pay so much for weddings, talk about a waste of money. Statistically a bass boat will last a lot longer than a wedding.
  24. I think so...."Berkley Johnson 1/16 oz Beetle Bou Marabou Jig" Here they are: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Johnson-Beetle-Bou-Fishing-Hard-Bait/32173095
  25. It's incentive to live as long as possible!
