  1. Only thing that is a little unusual is the width of the right margin. Really wide. Doesn't really bother me but <shrug>. I like the new look a lot.
  2. I thought about casting a GoPro before but never did. Looks fun..$150.
  3. Most common mistake I see is spelling it "stripper". I worked with strippers for 5 years and there is a difference
  4. I didn't stop fishing last winter but I stopped catching between late Novemeber and late March, as in zero fish. Not sure if that counts
  5. Unless there are lightning bolts striking the ground all around you, the answer is always yes, you should go fishing. Apps? We're talking about fishing, right?
  6. The tech is there, someone just needs to believe it's worth doing $$.
  7. Stick worm! YUM, BPS, whatever, they have caught most of my fish this season. Fist time I'd really tried them too, I just skunked for so long I gave them a shot. I believe!
  8. Caught my record number on Sunday - 10 largemouth from shore. Can't complain.
  9. I always wondered what the big deal was about bass until I caught my first, and it was on a topwater as well. I was hooked instantly! Congrats!
  10. And bad for the fishermen. I know I know, more money equals more innovation. I don't care about innovation, I think we have enough gadgets available. I like less people on the water fishing.
  11. I'm in the south bay. Personally, for one day I'd choose Lake Tulloch. Reasons: My Dad has a house on the water, I'm familiar with it somewhat, it has pretty big bass that I actually catch, and it's 2.5 hours away. New Malones is not much farther and is a great lake but I'm not familiar with it. If I had a boat I'd go there maybe instead. The Delta is a top spot for bass and it's a lot closer, but I'm not confident I'd catch anything, I've only targeted stripers there. The Franks Tract tip above is a good one for bass, so I hear. Clifton Court is okay for stripers. Tons of shore access for sure. Vasona? Thought about trying it but doesn't seem like the best choice. Maybe I will try there tomorrow. I fish Coyote Creek a lot near Morgan Hill and get numbers. Try Uvas Res, good healthy bass there. Walk across the dam and follow the trail around the lake.

  13. I tried to visit the site last night and the rest of my hair almost fell out before I remembered your warning.
  14. Cool. I'm going to look into making something.
  15. I don't care for super hero movies either. It's pretty much all CG and the programmers should get any oscars, not the actors And I'm a little tired of so many movies devolving into yet another gun fight. Yawn. Yep, They Live. Another movie I have permanently on my hard drive, along with Kung Pow. Love John Carpenter. I just noticed "documentary" haha. I remember watching that movie when I was young and thinking it was sooo cool. Which it is
  16. I won't forget either, and like many I watched it happen. But it doesn't end there. I also won't forget how that event was used as an excuse to spy on Americans and "illegally" overthrow a sovereign nation that had nothing at all to do with it. Remember all of the surveillance and security cameras on every street corner before 9/11? Ya, me either. Remember how many of our youngsters died in Iraq for no reason based on fake intel (someone mentioned propaganda, oops I mean "FBI intelligence" up-thread)? I do, over 4,400. They died for nothing at all. 32,000 were also wounded, and who knows how many suffer from PTSD and other ailments. I applaud and am tearfully grateful for the brave people who rose to the occasion: firefighters, police and many others (I don't like the term First Responder, it makes no sense to me). American citizens are awesome and so are the soldiers who did their jobs. But the government is a lying POS. Never forget that either. Sorry to be a little negative but it isn't that simple to me - Bruce, waving flags - it's bullcrap. I'm still angry at all of it. And no we are no longer united, not like we were then. /rant
  17. Yes for Kung Pow! "Eenie meenie minie moe, I wonder where my glove will go!?" But I generally dislike most of these Asian martial arts movies. If they fly around on wires, I'm out. I just don't care for it.
  18. Anyone without gobs of makeup? I looked up a few of these people without it. Blech! My wife (ex) looked stunning with no makeup. She'd lie to other women and say she was wearing it sometimes so they wouldn't get jealous. That's what she said anyways. She'd kill me if I posted a photo. Not bragging, she dumped me eventually, but she is beautiful.
  19. Buy a different car! When my Tacoma died I bought a mini-van (go ahead and laugh). All the middle and rear seats come out or fold flat, it has more space than most SUVs I see, and it is more secure than the open bed of my truck. I love it. When purchasing a new vehicle it absolutely had to be something I could use for fishing. That's why I say kind of jokingly to buy a new car As for a storage idea - I really don't like laying them on the floor. I'm thinking of some kind of interior ceiling setup, maybe stretch some straps across the ceiling attached to the "oh ****" handles and keep the rods up high so I can put more gear in the van. There was a thread maybe 8 months ago that talked about such an idea.
  20. Yep, most of my lost fish are from grabbing the line, and I have plenty of video evidence to show it.
  21. Hey I've mentioned the BR vids many times! I've watched almost all of them. They have been my number one source for informational videos, hands down. They're long enough, short enough, and to the point. And the host is cool as well. I also haven't watched many vids in over a year due to limited internet so I have a lot of making up to do. I'm moving in a few days so I got a lot of content to watch if I want to once I do.
  22. To echo Glenn...26 days without power? Wow! I didn't read the entire thread, man that made my jaw drop. Glad you made it through. And I don't mean the lack of TV, I mean everyone around you also having no power and needing food and everything else, wow I can only imagine. Here we've had 2, maybe even 3 days in a row with clear blue skies. It's been solid smoke for weeks including the smell as well as ashes getting all over everything, including our lungs. Wishing everyone here the best.
