What yall think about pinnacle reels
I agree with USA-Ret, right on the money most of my reels are the old Shimano Curado's at 119.99 a piece and never had a problem with them.

Citica vs Curado (100D's)
oh and both the Citica 100D and the Curado 100D are made in Japan

Rig My Rod's!
Depends on the size of the reel and what it can handle and the condition of the water with what color or type of line you go with. Off the top of my head i would probably go with somewhere between 10 and 12 on the baitcaster and on the spinning reels look at the spool and choose the highest lb test the reel is rated for or the next size down from that, I would choose clear line if the water is clear, or low vis green if the water is stained muddy or there is low visibility in the water, with both cases you can use flourocarbon line. As far as baits go i would think about what you have confidence in on the body of water you are fishing and start with with that, but never go into the tournament thinking exactly what baits you are going to throw keep an open mind and once you start fishing let the fish tell you what to throw. Hope this helps and GOOD LUCK!

Daiwa Advantage or Daiwa Rojo
Yes.........I own a Trion, an Accurist AC501CX, and Abu 5501 C3, 2 BPS Extremes, and 4 Daiwa's ( one Procaster 100HL, one Capricorn 100HL, one Capricorn 100XTCL, and one of the cheap Procaster Tournament 100BiL), the Capricorns are built on the same frame as the procaster but have differant paint schemes, a few more bearings, and the XTCL has a ported spool, and are only sold at Dicks. I have yet to fish the Accurist or the Trion, as they are new this winter. But I find nothing special about them that makes them better or worse than the Procaster. Just last week you said the Trion was junk, now you claim they are better than the procaster, I think Muddys right.......... As far as owning only 1 procaster...........so what ? I like it, and would buy more, I buy other reels to try out to see what is best, and at this price range I can do that, who knows after the season starts maybe I will like the trion better, or the accurist and thats all I will buy from now on, but for now I still think the procaster is the best of the bunch I have. sorry i offeneded you keep your panties on and calm down i didnt want to start a heated debate ok point taken you have many different reels, this like working at gander mounain certainly makes you an expert on the topic so lets just agree to disagree and move on instead of argue and get nowhere.

Finally bought a REAL boat
I'm pretty excited, but I will most likely just fish from it as I'm fixing it, and take my time. Then in the winter I will repair the fiberglass, and give it some new paint. I just bought a 16' aluminum last week shes a 1974 Ouachita needs a little tlc but she's getting rebuilt now http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1173231719

Daiwa Advantage or Daiwa Rojo
Oh lord another angry fisherman that beleives i was badmouthing a product that he has used sucessfully for years, I wasn't knocking the reel I was just stating a few alternatives not meaning to offend anyone YET AGAIN IMHO the AC500PT, Cruxis, and Purist or even Trion feel Smoother. Yet again this is from experience of selling the reels. Now before blatently stating that the procaster is better have you felt or used or had any experience with the other reels. Speaking of which i have an over 20 year old Lew Childre Speed Spool BB-1n with no problems reels are meant to last and with good care I hope any reel lasts several years. And why do you only have one Procaster if they are such a great reel.
-
Daiwa Advantage or Daiwa Rojo
i've thrown my friends Team Daiwa Advantage HST which is the step above the advantage and is one heck of a reel but at the range of the procaster rojo from what i've seen it is just a Red Procaster which in that case i would go with the quantum accurist AC500CX, Pfluegar Purist, or Shimano Cruxis, Actually the REVO S is a great reel at only 99.99 hope this helps

Buying a baitcaster...
I agree with ronnie very low start up inertia with the reel the spool feels like nothing in your hand on the 50MG

hi end shimano rod or lo end st. croix rod
Personally i have a Crucial and a Compre and love the both rods and the Lifetime warranties on them also compared to the premier's 5 year warranty. If you are looking for a spinning rod I also like the way the cork is cut to expose the blank. meven though shimano is more famous for reels than rods their rods are high quality light and very sensitive

Bought a new boat
Just got a NEW or rather new to me 1974 16' Ouchita Jon boat needs alot of TLC but hopefully will be able to convert it to a good resevoir boat over the next few weeks.

Which Rod to Buy????
Between those brands i'm partial to falcon or shimano i love the feeling of my Shimano Compre but you can't go wrong with any of them
-
Spinning rod help
I would go with a 6'6" or a 7' M G-Loomis spinning rod their lower end runs around $150 other than that a Castaway, Shimano Crucial, St. Croix Avid, or Falcon Cara
