Monofilament vs. Flourocarbon
i've used triple fish flouro once and i'll never use that again but it didnt break on me or anything just line twist was REdiculous but alot of that was due to something i learned flip the bail by hand it takes ALOT of twist out of your line and finger the spool as your casting to control the lure as if it was a baitcast. The other proplems i had was that the line frayed really bad something i had never had with line before like you could pull the line apart like it was string cheese it was horrible, but overall sensitivity was amazing, i was using a shimano Spirex 1000 with a 6' med shimano compre rod fishing 4" senkos weightless

Simplifying color choices-list your "go to" colors
I find its great to simplify colors to your go to colors such as watermelon seed or red shad or black all the colors listed by everyone work for them and they have confidence, but one other way to simplify your tackle choices is to analyze your condition or where you are fishing, instead of bringing all your tackle find out what the conditions are going to be like if there is a cold front bring things that are more conducive to the condition, or if you are familiar with the body of water your going to fish prepare a tackle bag especially for that body of water.

i truley do not like chatterbaits
I truelly love fishing the chatterbait i've caught alot of fish on it but has something happened i'm totally unaware of i mean its one of my go to baits that i know i can catch fish on i dont know if the lure quality changed or what but all the ones i have have sharp hooks and good paint jobs and work well i mean then lately im hearing how bad the hooks are and how bad the paint is and how the lures are cheaply made, am i fishing the same original chatterbait as yall or is it the newer ones or what, because honestly i've never had a problem

i truley do not like chatterbaits
how have you been fishing them because i had the same problem until i learned how to fish them I use a 7ft cranking rod with a 5:1 reel and move the bait just fast enough that you can feel the bait and as soon as the line gets heavy or you just cant feel the vibration then swing your rod tip and set the hook try this before you give up

Lucky Craft Real California Baits
sorry bout that then i just know i have a friend that went down to florida last week and won a tourny with a 6 lb kicker on his first few casts on the bait, its a big fish lure and i know it works i've found them as cheap as $36 their slow sink bait will actually suspend on the hooks over the bed, if your looking for a big fish bait this works.

Attacked by the baitmonkey today.....
Watch out for that 334c alot of them are defective, I work at Gander Mtn. and have seen alot of those units go bad the 332c i haven't seen as many problems in. When the unit was first launched many of the 334c's were recalled because they didn't have enough memory to support the system especially with navionics chips, you might never have a problem with the unit but every 334c we've had one display has messed up in some way and thats just running a simulator. I've seen the screen turn off on them, or the screen come up white and stay that way to none of the pages working and the sonar malfunctioning. If you get a good unit you'll be ok but i just want to give you a heads up to test it before you get out on the water.

Stanley Jigs floating ribbit frog
One thing i forgot was that my best luck with them has been fishing on top of grass or in channels or cuts in the grass line mainly when the topwater bite is typically on early morning and about a couple hours before sunset when the fish are very active.

Stanley Jigs floating ribbit frog
I fish the Potomac River quite often and once grass starts really growing into the river in late spring till where it starts dying out in the fall topwater frogs are on fire, i've had my best luck with the YUM buzz frog but i know of people that will only throw horny toads or will only throw the ribbit, honestly i havent heard of anyone having more luck on one than another and color really isnt an issue either, as many fish are caught on the white frog as the black frog as the green frog there might be something to the color and the condition but i've never found only one that will catch fish to me the topwater frog is honestly whatever you are confident with and catch fish with, something i did learn though when fishing them is that if you attach a plastic bead to the front of the lure it will make it more weedless and keep it on top of the water better.

Stanley Jigs floating ribbit frog
If you like the bull ribbits, check out the seizmic frog they have a large frog that is also a high floater, its legs are smaller and displace less water but work well for stop and go retrieve.

hollow bodied frogs
Another thing i can think of is that my black one I got when the first came out and the green was a newer color and maybe they changed the bait a little, another thing to try would be the bronzeye frog JR or the new jungle frog. If you like throwing swimbaits spro just came out with a new bait designed by Bill Siemantel the BBZ-1 here's the link to the New trailer for the bait http://spro.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=63&Itemid=29

hollow bodied frogs
Are you waiting long enough until you set the hook? Maybe your reacting to the strike and setting the hook immediately which makes you think it's the frogs fault and not your own. Just a guess, could be wrong. Let the bass take it down for a second or two, then set the hook. I use a 7' Heavy Rod with 30 lb. braid for my frogs. I was fishing a thick mat of slop when I figured I would try my SPRO frog out. The first fish blew up on the frog and I didn't get a hook in him. I just figured I didn't wait long enough. The next blow-up I waited until I felt the fish. I set the hook only to have it come out again. 10 blow-ups later without a fish, I had enough of that frog. I put on my old faithful, the Mann's rat, the next four blow-ups resulted in four caught fish. So to me, that SPRO's frog wasn't worth the money. Maybe the SPRO frog is better in situations outside of thick slop (like sparse lillypads), but for the slop, it do well for me. One thing that you can do to increase your hook ups on the frog is to bend your hooks according to how your fishing in open water or sparse cover the fish is more likely to hit the bait from the side so bend the hooks outward a little more when fishing heavier cover bend the hooks closer together because the fish will more likely come from under the bait, it is true that some of the bodies are harder and some are softer the first one i bought was the black frog, next i bought the natural green frog and its body was much softer.

looking for discontinued color
I'm looking for a color that used to be made by culprit in their 7.5" worm, it is called purple ice and I was wondering if anyone has seen it anywhere or something similar to it. It is a laminate half light purple almost a pink color and the other half is pearl white.
