I own a Mach Crush..got it for like $120 for the combo..I absolutely love it. My only gripe is that its a bit on the heavy side and its uncomfortable to palm due to the trigger being so high on the handle.
I currently own 2 Lew’s sticks (Crush and a Mach II), Dobyn’s, Kistler, and a Megabass. My Lew’s and Megabass gets a lot of use out of all my stuff since I prefer them 3. As for my wife, she loves her Kistler Rods (H3, KLX Reel n feel).
Well i had called and asked for some clarification..some rods indeed do have defects but was told to continue to fish as i would normally but if something were to happen to have a peace of mind knowing that my warranty has been upped to 3 years lol. I dont mind since i love my levante but for us existing rod owners since we have no option of returns or upgrade its a wait to see if it breaks type of deal.
Outdoor Pro Shop/Monster Tackle in Cotati/Rhonert Park near Santa Rosa had 4 of these in store. Beautiful rod..extremely light, way more sensitive than my Levante thats for sure. Different price points I know lol. Although no hook keeper for those that are still wondering if it had one.
None of my local Dick’s had this combo in stock, so what I ended up doing was going to a Sportsman’s Warehouse that had the combo and had them price match it lol.
I try to stay away from Lake Merced even though its just within walking distance from where I live lol. That lake is not all that well kept up. Me and the wife dont mind driving..we’ve already hit up lakes all the way from Clearlake to Lake Sonoma down all the way to Stevens Creek Reservoir so drivings not that big of an issue lol.
I’m in Norcal..specifically the SF area. Normally have to travel up north, south bay or to the east bay. Yes, did a lot of homework and researching for quality set ups. Figured, might as well do it right the first time lol.
Hey all, been freshwater fishing for about a month and a half now and I must say I enjoy the light tackle and not having to lug around 10ft surf rods and heavy reels lol. Currently using a 7’ 705CB Dobyns Fury paired with a Shimano SLX and a 7’2” Megabass Levante 2019 Diablo Spec-R paired with a Shimano Curado K.
