  1. I am a finesse fisherman for the most part. Worms, lizards, craws, creature baits, senkos it doesnt matter I can catch em with soft plastics. Its just my thing, my go to bait. Then when it comes to those big 12" worms something just dont work for me. I can not for the life of me catch em on those big worms. I dont know if its my tecnique or what but I have caught exactly zero bass on big worms. So Im just wondering in what situations and what tecniques do you use those big worms and does anyone here have much luck with em?
  2. Ive never been to a lake with no worms but uh the lizards I dont know what the deal is but every single time Im on the water I catch at least one fish with a texas rigged lizard.
  3. I only started using Lucky Craft a few months ago but I can assure you its well worth the money. If money is the issue, I would go with the Rapala DT or the Mann's Baby -1 and -4. Before I started fishing Lucky Craft, it was Mann's in shallow water situations and Rapala in deep water but almost always now its Lucky Craft I had immediate success with this lure and have stayed hot with ever since.
  4. So how does everybody fish them? Ive tried the 12s but never had any luck. Caught tons on 4,6, and 8s but cant do nothing with the 12s. Dont know, maybe its the way I present them or something dont know what the deal is. Any suggestions or comments?
  5. In lakes or rivers that I know well I go with the high percentage areas. If I dont know the body of water Im on in a lake I depend primarily on electronics, on rivers I usually try and find some backwaters and rely on the electronics once I get there.
  6. never seen anyone use math for fishing , guess whatever work for ya. I dont use math just time on the water experimenting with diffent methods and tequniques for me.

I always use a trailer hook on spinnerbait and buzzbait, its just a little extra insurance. That fish hits just a second too late without that trailer you may miss him. Ive caught lots of fish especially on a buzzbait that were hooked on the trailer.
  8. Heddons tiny torpedo , firetiger color
  9. :'( Im missing my first ever bass club tournament today because I couldnt get off work, d**n does this suck. I wanna fish em all. Of course when I cant be there it would be on the Pascagoula River, I love rivers. I got the fever I need to be out there. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
  10. Our bass club always has prayer just before blast off. Its more about everybodys safety than catching fish tho.
  11. Im in the process of rewiring my boat as well and Im using marine grade wire.
  12. buzzbait and spinnerbait
  13. They should be ok if kept in a cool enviroment, if they get too much heat they may melt or stick together. Also as someone has already mentioned some colors will bleed into other colors. Keep somewhere where they dont get alot of heat and they should be ok.

If you wanna see somebody throw a tantrum , just come fishing with me. Never done it in front of anybody or during a tournament but Ive had some bad days of fishing and yes I am guilty of coming unglued. I can recall a bad of fishing , where I wasnt getting any bites and finally a bite and I missed the hook set, frustration led to me snapping my rod across my knee and throwing it across the lake. I was in some back waters off of the river so no one see. But I did show I disagree. Not proud of it but Im human and so is IKE.

Personally I love this guy, he can throw some unnecessary fits but I dont know anyone who hasnt. Camera just wasnt on most when it happened. Two best angler on tour in my opinion are well #1 has to be KVD and #2 is definitely IKE. I love to watch em both go to work, they are awesome.
  16. Cant win em all. Dont count out KVD he'll come back with a win before you know it.
  17. Jigs, Soft Plastics, Spinnerbaits, Buzzbaits, Crankbaits

Awesome tournament, 45lbs, thats an average of almost 9lbs per fish. Gotta Love That.
  19. This is so true you do get what you pay for.
  20. ah...yes good bass fishing is definetly here then....lol
  21. The Challenge.....not just anybody can catch bass. I love the challenge the different tecniques for different situations and have to be able to locate them as well. Until the last few years I fished for fish not necessarily any specific species but at some point I wanted more of a challenge and realized how much more of a challege bass were to catch. Anybody can catch catfish, bream, crappie and so on. Those species have always been easy to catch for me, too easy. Its all about the challenge, learning new techniques and learning new water for me.
  22. I used to buy those $1 spinnerbaits at Wal-Mart and never caught one single fish on em, I fish Strike King mainly, alos Booyah and I have a sponsor who builds custom spinnerbaits that are pretty good as well. In my opinion quality counts a whole lot when it comes to spinnerbaits.
  23. Ill check with West Marine, original manufacturer is out of business.
