  1. I am totally redoing my fiberglass bass boat, Im in the process of painting it now. Anyway I was wanting to replace the bumper that goes all the way around the outside of the boat. Anyone know where I can find this?????
  2. Digital is well worth the money, I bought the pro series which is a good motor but a friend of mine bought the digital and its by far a better motor, best motor Ive ever used, bar none.
  3. This is unreal and very sad. Those victims and their families are in my heart and prayers.
  4. Ya last night I found a little info on the tip and roll tecnique, however I dont really see how Im gonna keep it from showing brush marks unless you can use a foam type brush, I dunno. Im gonna do some more research but if anyone has any info I would appreciate it.
  5. Strike King 1/2 ounce buzzbait chartruse and white and a Heddon Baby Torpedo
  6. floro sinks and mono floats, another difference is mono will stretch more
  7. Im getting ready to paint my fiberglass bass boat, got it sanded primed and ready to paint. I read something about rolling it on but I never had heard of any such. I figured it would need to be sprayed. Anybody know anything about this? Any comments or suggestions? O and by the way Ive bought interlux paint.
  8. I noticed their site was incredibly slow on my computer at work which on DSL at home Im on dial up and is d**n near impossible to use it.
  9. It was not meant to be offensive, I deal with these issues when Im just doing recreational fishing myself yes I am a tournament angler however I still do alot of recreational fishing that was just the answer for me, like I said in the first post I made that is my opinion. Im not saying thats just the way it is just was stating what worked for me and my OPINION on the matter. We're all entitled to our opinions you, me and everybody else. Didnt mean to offend anybody and apologize if I did thats just how I feel about it.
  10. Ive got a little 12foot jon boat Im thinking of putting an outboard on , was gonna use it to run a river I love to fish that I cant get in with my bigger fiberglass boat during the summer months because the water level is too low. Lots of people fish this river in jon boats. This particular jon is rated for 5hp, my question is how well is a 5hp gonna push the boat didnt know how fast the boat would run or if it would get me upriver with a 5 on it. The river Im speaking of is the Pearl River, I live in Columbia,MS for those of you who have fished the Pearl. Its not a huge river or anything but has some great back water bassin. So what you think will the 5 do what I want?
  11. Most of the lakes that we have our tournaments on are owned by the state and while true they are paid for by taxpayer , us tournament anglers pay our taxes too and have as much right as anyone else. I understand where your coming from I used to have to deal with this before my days as a tournament angler but the answer for me was to adjust and become a better angler learning to fish under any condition. I dont know about the # of fish kills after a tournament but I do know it is rare with the club that I fish with that there are dead fish.
  12. Well I dont have a pic to post but well my 16ft boat barely holds it all. Ive got 14 3600 boxes and 8 worm wallets. Packed. The bait monkey visits me often.
  13. I say its not that great of a deal, decent I guess. I bought one probably bought a year and a half ago, Motorguide Pro Series 46lb at BPS for $299. In my experience Motorguide will hold up and last you alot longer than a Minn Kota.
  14. Mono did the trick, thanks for everyones suggestions.
  15. Yum shad scent has worked best for me
  16. love cranking, I justed bought the only 3 I have so no problems yet, just never could understand why they were so much higher than the rest my reason for starting this topic however since starting this topic Ive bought some and have had immediate success. They look to me like they would as durable as any other crank Ive used. They are definietly a higher quality bait and all ran true right out of the box. I like em and if I continue to have the success Ive started out with Ill be fishing em for a long time.
  17. how deep of water do they usually live in and at water temp
  18. I guess thats possible too , Ive got 20 on it. Think tonight I will rerig the rod put on some mono and tie the braid to it.
  19. Swimbaits not too popular here in mississippi, I dont know anybody whos fishing them but I just ordered about $200 worth. I dont mind forking up the green for quality baits and the swimbait seems to be the lure to be chunking. I know its the thing for those hawgs out there in Cali and Im fixing to give these mississippi bass and up close and personal look at em.
  20. Bass should begin spawning when water temp reaches somewhere between 60 and 65
  21. Spider wire stealth, and no its not taped or tied to mono (maybe thats my prob)
  22. Ive been having some problem casting braided line, Ive got it spooled on a abu garcia ambassuder baitcaster. I try and cast and it either casts only a few feet or backlashes on me dunno what Im doing or have wrong.
  23. I found out why. I went out and bought 3 of the pointers. Ive been out twice with them since then and let me tell you its bar none the best crank Ive ever thrown, ready to fish right out of the pack. I immediately had success finding and catching those prespawning bass. I too will now recommend Lucky Craft.
  24. The best spinnerbait on the market. Ive had more success with this spinnerbait than all others combined. This bait is producing alot of fish for me, its one of my go to lures.
