  1. They are only 200 sizes and up. No 100 series for finesse fishing and such... Tsk, tsk.... someone better buy one in the flea market...
  2. Hey Guys I been searching around for a JDM reel for awhile and finally decided on a Alphas Type F Anyway, they have them on sale at PLAT so I thought maybe someone else would be interested also. It came out to be 199 shipped http://www.plat.co.jp/shop/catalog/default.php?cPath=36_765
  3. I think the Crucial Spinning DS rod is the best rod Shimano makes. However, it is no IMX. If you wanted to spend a little less and get a good quality rod I would take a look at the St. Croix's Any rod from the Avids, Legend Tournament, to the Legend Elite's are awesome. The LE's are expensive though, but I like mine alot. Good Luck.
  4. I would use anything Shimano 1000 Stradic 1000 FI comes to mind
  5. Raul = I almost got pwned by Yastrading....
  6. Thanks Raul! Didn't do it. now lookin for pixy anyway.
  7. http://yastrading.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_27&products_id=173 194 Dunno though, seems Phishy... ya digg... too good to be true.
  8. Has anyone heard of or have ordered from http://yastrading.com/ They seem to have the lowest prices on the web for JDM Reels... Raul, have you?
  9. So I was thinkin of pullin the trigger on a Sol or Alpha 103. Are these reels comaporable to the Shimano Curado 100D. I have a 100 D already, but wanted to know if the Daiwa's will perform better in any aspect. Lookin to go light...
  10. Definitely call them and insist for the 20 bucks off. Could be a problem with the website.
  11. The 750 is an considered ultra light in Shimano's line up. It is small and is very good for 60 bucks. But a true Ultralight and the best UL Reel IMO is the TICA SB500 I love that reel on my UL St. Croix. Light as a feather and is very very nice setup. I have caught trout up to 4lbs on it and it held up very nice.... check that one out.
  12. I don't know where this would belong, but I thought I would share www.basspro.com/save20
  13. Steez... http://www.tackletour.com/reviewdaiwasteezhighspeedpreview.html
  14. Both are pretty good. They both have magnetic breaks that are adjustable externally so that takes care of your 'easy' adjustment requrement. The HSTA has bearing supported swept handle, and is super smooth. The drag isn't as powerful at the STX however. STX says it has 24lbs vs Daiwa's 8.8-9 lbs The HSTA is wider than the STX and is less comfortable to palm, but I have gotten used to mine so it is a non issue. I have small hands as well. So I think it would come down to the drag and price. If you are fishing for really large fish, STX, but if not the Daiwa can be had for around $120 and it is really good. I don't fish Abu's so you can take my advice with a grain of salt, but it's JMHO. Good luck, I think you'll wind up very happy with either.
  15. I would go with a zillion. What about these, they look like a Ninja Curado but 10oz is heavy http://www.japantackle.com/Shimano/Shimano_SpeedMaster200.htm
  16. I wonder if Japanese Anglers drool over our products and shell out more $$ to get US versions. Probably not....
  17. I really really like the Stradic 1000FI
  18. Hey Micro There is a review on these rods at TT http://www.tackletour.com/reviewpowell683cxfast.html
  19. Yeah, that is y I'm a little confused. That is what I though as well. So I used the Flash Minnow SW (Saltwater version) Supposed to be anti-corrosion hooks and rings on those LC's but they rusting over too. Hmmmm.... Thanks RW
  20. Hey guys I have some LC pointer 100's and Flash Minnow 110's The split rings and hooks are rusting already after one outing. I rinsed them after being in the salt and such (The Flash Minnows) and dried them with a paper towel, let air dry after that. My question is, what type and size split rings and hooks do I need for the these LC"s that won't rust and won't effect the action of the lure. **PS** for 15 bucks a lure, they should at least put some decent Split Rings and hooks on them >
  21. I bet your problem is the line digging into itself. When you cast, does it feel like it is normal then all of a sudden you feel a kink or pause and then the mother of all backlashes occur.
  22. Sounds like you are looking for a hollow body frog. http://www.***.com/catpage-frogs.html I hear the Spro and River2Sea are good ones. I just bought a River2Sea Bully Wa Croaker in the copper green to try out. Good luck.... I never fished a frog either.
  23. from ebay... place called simmonssportinggoods or something for like 330 I think.
  24. Oh man, That reel looks awesome. I was gonna get one but decided to to with a Stella 1000FB instead as I found one for around the same price as the FB. Let me know how it is.
