  1. From the bank it’s one rod. I usually just pick what I’m fishing before I go and commit. Usually a Texas rig or frog setup.
  2. I’m with you. Frankly super flukes got some weight to them, I could cast them on a flipping stick if needed.
  3. I can cast a super fluke as far as I need to on a bait caster. Loose spool tension and light brakes.
  4. Hard to go wrong with value packs of Gama’s. Dang good hooks and cheap enough to just replace when it’s not like new.
  5. Please tell me this wasn’t off the top of your head
  6. I just grab a new hook…. I usually lose them before dulling them.
  7. Last year I got “passable”, and I do use that term loosely, and skipping a bait. First dock I came on I skipped under and nailed a 3 lber. Thought I was on to something and fished docks rest of the morning. Not one other bite lol. That was last July.
  8. The floating docks around here have never done jack for me lol
  9. I’m very jealous of your catches, what angler wouldn’t be? I’m also very blessed you share so much of your knowledge so that others can have great catches of their own. I know I’ve learned a lot from you, I’m sure I’m not alone.
  10. Would anyone happen to know the rod locker length on these boats? It’s an older boat so the specs aren’t on the site. I fish 7’ rods, just curious if theyd fit.
  11. I like my 7 footers and don’t want to switch rod lengths through out the day. Supposedly you’re more accurate with shorter rods but I’ll counter you’re more accurate with what you’re comfortable with.
  12. I like to throw my lures in garbage too much. I’d hesitate casting where I went with it.
  13. I do 2 1/2 regularly for Friday, all Saturday, and half of Sunday trips to my families place on a lake. I have the St. John’s river about 4 hours and Santee cooper about 2. I’ve been tempted to try what y’all are talking about doing, that’s a lot of driving though to fish somewhere unfamiliar though that’s too far to get regular enough to be familiar.
  14. My family got a place on Clark’s Hill. We try to get up there somewhat regularly
  15. its the weekend after this weekend, so I think a couple days after this garbage front I should be solid. what area of Georgia are you in?
  16. Looking at the bass forecast ratings, if they mean more than a bag of terds, has Friday for 9.6. I think I should be solid.
  17. 10 mph is A lot of wind for here. I wouldn’t go in that much.
  18. I’m going either way. It’s for my 30th birthday and I ain’t going to work lol Hopefully a big dumb one is up shallow and hits something for me.
  19. Thanks! Always love hearing your input! man we don’t get but 2 to 3 truely cold days a year. We don’t know how to handle it lol
  20. I’m in Georgia. So not far from Florida. Honestly can’t say I’ve seen a freeze this late before.
  21. So I have a 4 day fishing trip planned next week. Leaving Wednesday night, not coming back until Sunday. It’s lined up with the full moon, and was hoping that would drive fish shallow but we got a huge front moving through Sunday morning. Water temp is crossing over 60 degrees now with day temps in the 80’s lately, but it’ll be 25 degrees Sunday morning. Monday morning cool too but not as bad. I would think 3 or 4 days the fishing should be back to normal, what says y’all?
  22. I’ve never caught a bass on a square bill.
  23. Somehow my hook up ratio sucks with wacky rig. Texas rig for me. Skips fine on a baitcaster
  24. They tend to frown on bashing retailers on here, but I do agree about the presence of this forum could be influential on improving service.
  25. Never. It’s on from the time I hop in the boat until I get off.
