Those are good worms, I've used them on drop shot rigs with good results.

Hats off to Gary the Gator
I have seen this guy before, he's a little too curious sometimes. He normally lays on the bank of one of the backyards out here all day. First time I've seen him eating. I like it better when he's sleeping ?

Hardbaits VS Plastics & Costs...???
Fishing tackle... A double edged sword...I will always have too much... I will never have enough. It's all about having options? That being said, I try to save a little money by buying brands that cost a little less whenever I can without giving up too much quality (think Yum Dingers) I don't skimp on terminal tackle. I also try to keep multiples of hard baits that I know work for me. My goal is to have a successful day on the water!

Bass chasing shad, what do you throw
I've had luck with spinnerbaits with willow blades and a tube trailer. If you let the bait fall through the shad a lot of times the bigger fish are under the aggressive smaller fish waiting to clean up any wounded bait with minimal effort. A couple I got using that method. ☝️This is what I've found to be true.

Some great fish! Looks like you'll have some competition soon!

When do you favor a popper?
Do you find color choice (matching the bait fish) to be a big factor when working bass on a school of shad with a popper or other topwater? I have found I have better luck with a color that stands out.

Too much tackle…what would you use?
I have a lot of stuff... I like trying to catch fish using different techniques. Do I need all my stuff... No. I have a lot of lures that have never been wet. I know what works for me, but I can't control myself! Oh well, chalk up a win for the Bait Monkey.?

I used to fish this lake, a loooong time ago. I lived in Arkwright for ten years. Read Tom's post, good advice!

A rig what I like, what I don't
I like the Flash Mob Jr, I use it solely for throwing into baitfish that are being brutalized by schools of bass. It's less heavy than some, but still a bit of a pain. At about $20 with rig, jig heads and baits, I really hate to lose it! But that's the chance we take when we throw any lure or rig.

I’ve never caught a fish non- live bait
This might be a stupid question, but are you sure there is a bass population in the water you're fishing? You haven't expressed if you're fishing a river, creek, pond or lake. Assuming there is a bass population where you're fishing, try some easier baits like spinnerbaits(Beetlespins are great) or a Texas rigged worm. Try using fast and SLOW retrieves.
